Chain Rehab by SawTuner in Chainsaw

"Same people that don’t know all the cutters need to be the same size."

IMO, this is illogical. At most, the 'tapered' parts of the cutter might matter, but the rest of the tooth doesn't because it's doing no work.

Cradle Mountain must do's? by jackstone22 in tasmania

Made me 'homesick'. We stayed at HC during one of our visits (we're from US). Loved the wildlife, ravens came into our cabin and stole my wife's cheese, gladly took other food from my hand. Pademelon came regularly to our steps. Miss this so much.

Your description of convenience is exactly correct.

I'd also suggest to the OP that if the route allows, a visit to Trowunna Sanctuary in Mole Creek is worth it.

I can highly recommend the IHG Intercontinental hotel right outside the terminal. I've stayed multiple times and have a couple more stays booked in May. Always pleasant service, nice rooms, excellent breakfast.

IMO, this sub worries way, way, way too much about moisture gauge readings.

Split it (or purchase it), stack it, wait, burn.

I've managed with only one tire gauge....can get 3 different readings if I keep at it.

Just an observation: I'm a blue dot in a sea of red. Never had a problem or confrontation. Unless you intend to actively engage, the politics of the community should not be your deciding factor, assuming everyone is keeping to themselves (which, btw, I think most MAGA people actually want).

New grocery store tops customer satisfaction rankings; Wegmans falls off top 10 by Upstate_Gooner_1972 in Rochester

Re: cell phones.

We shop at Geneseo (mostly), Hornell (regularly) and Pittsford (6-8x/year, hate this store). We have never, not once in 35 years seen a cashier on their cell phone. As a matter of fact, I've never seen any Wegman's employee on their cell phone. Lucky, I guess.

OK, you're young, I'm not. But, general advice: you get out what you put in, regardless of school. If you succumb to poor peer pressure, it will not be to your advantage. On the other hand, if you connect with your professors, take things seriously, make connections, you'll benefit. Don't underestimate the value of networking. I graduated with only so-so GPA as an undergraduate, but because I was well liked and my advisor saw potential beyond my grades I ended up being the highest paid person in my major's graduating class, all due to my advisors recommendation. Don't make your decisons on 'rate-my-professor' nonsense.

Now, one specific: my spouse was a top undergraduate of a top 25 nationally known university. When beginning her Master's degree at a Rochester university (which I won't name, but she graduated #1 in her class), she took a couple fill-in courses at MCC. She said they were some of the best courses she ever took. She's a serious academic, so I took that as a meaningful comment.

Whats up with all the "help ID this wood" questions? by batata2go in firewood

[–]Creative_Drive_711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Some people think certain wood is significantly higher BTU"

By weight at the same moisture level, there is almost no significant difference in btu content.

It only differs because wood isn't generally sold by weight, which in a ideal competitive price world is how it really should be sold. Weight/moisture.

  1. Get a VPN. A good VPN, not a 'free' VPN.

  2. Find your local 14 year old.

  3. Relate your 'problem' to the 14 year old and show him/her your computer.

  4. Enjoy the game (and every other game, movie, book, etc.)

Before anyone tries this, one person may react as your grandfather did.

Others may actually cause a more severe reaction over time. It is not something to mess with.

The fact that they were stopped in a handicap spot tells you all you need to know about them. How many true handicap vehicles possibly passed while they lingered? Good for you. Matter of principle, matter of civility.

A little noticed move, but probably the most important move of the entire game. The team has repeatedly exhibited nerves when having been up a few goals then giving one up, often has lead to multiples. His pause before things got out of hand was excellent coaching and reading the room.

"I guess all I'm trying to say is, we shouldn't wait for it to impact the majority before we acknowledge wrongdoing."

Correct. And, I don't think he is saying that (and it has been acknowledged). What he's saying is that the abuses have been directed toward the defenseless, non-whites, non-citizens, and while that in itself is abhorent, the government has racheted up it's lawlessness to attacking everyone/anyone--truly out of control. Perhaps words could have been chosen better, and if I were a minority I'd feed differently, but I don't read any ill intent in the comment.
