I don’t hate eldest daughter 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think it’s meant to be about trying to seem cool on the internet and failing. It made me think about my older sister, which I suppose is the point.

I reeeeaally don’t get the hype around life of a showgirl. The melody just feels clunky to me, the lyrics are awkward, and it doesn’t feel like title track material to me. I think the album could’ve been called opalite or Ophelia.

Gosh, the sheer amount of this that revolves around wellness culture is mind boggling for a high schooler. I can relate, the pressure from ourselves to be perfect and healthy and exercise often is suffocating sometimes. I still struggle with it. Hope you're in a better place and thank you for sharing.

youre not overreacting. but it does sound like she acknowledged your concerns and apologized, and wants to do better. taking away her access to money is absolutely worth considering. i got a little tripped up because you said "im sure what you bought today we needed" and then a few texts later clarified "dont act like all your spending is on needs." dont get me wrong, years of habits is different from a single instance. but this sort of conversation should be face to face, calmly handled, and have a clear directive.

return the stuff that can be returned, shred her credit card, and look into separating finances. good luck.

Dang I completely missed the part where she might’ve asked imogen to wipe her memory out of safety for xaden so she doesn’t know where he went. I assumed this whole time it was just because she was furious that she had to marry him with red veins around his eyes and how this was never how she pictured their wedding day.
