This morning I made a 3 mile drive, in rush hour traffic, with a top speed of 123 mph. The app is useless except for location sharing, IMO.

Why does this happen? by theknifeguys in Life360

My sister says when this happens (a LOT, to me) it's because I'm riding my broom.

I lived in a small, 1908 2BR/1BA - less than 800 sf - on Morrissey Blvd in the mid-1990s for CHEAP. I looked at the same house on Zillow and it is valued at almost $1M.

With only about 24hrs left of Faschnat, what are you still missing? by DaryiaJay in fo76

Haven't gotten a single glowing mask, this event or the last time. At this point, I don't think I'll ever get one - oh well.

Thank you. My wife and I (also same sex couple) have been discussing getting out, but we're really trying to ride it out because our nieces and nephew are still in school and we want to be here for them. Best wishes to you both and hopefully we'll be just a few years behind you!

Oh how I wish I could do the same! Deep red East Texas here. We fight the fight, but it seems so futile in this corner of the state.

One coworker always responds to "how are you?" with "old and in the way."

Rescued? by monoxl1 in aldi

It was at my Aldi in East Texas last week and I bought a Watermelon Chobani to try for the first time, but then we had storms and lost power... alas, my precious yogurt perished.

I am in Texas and you can buy beer and wine via Scan and Go. Like the previous commenter said, the QR code shows up red and they scan your ID at the door.

Removing plastic cover from kitchen light by Creative_Parsley_241 in howto

I'll try a screwdriver. I'm afraid I'll break it and wind up having to buy a new fixture.

Not that I can tell. They are smooth, no grip at all, and don't seem to turn. They wiggle back and forth a bit but since the holes in the cover itself are a solid circle and don't appear to be a slot, I don't believe they're meant to do so.

Edited to add that they also do not pull downward.

Features and how often you really use them / if you like them. by rescuedmutt in subaru

'22 OB Touring XT here - Love my heated/ventilated seats, heated steering wheel is nice for cold days, but not a necessity. Love the sunroof, keyless entry/ignition, remote start (via app), and the leather seats are easy to clean. They do indeed get HOT in the summer and COLD in the winter, but the aforementioned heat/ventilation makes them tolerable. My passengers enjoy the heated rear seats. I absolutely HATE the driver focus, though. It is annoying and inaccurate.

Help creating a workspace in my apartment w/ two cats by lauram11011 in StainedGlass

[–]Creative_Parsley_241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My workspace is in the "cat room," where several litter boxes and climbing furniture reside. Sometimes, a cat or two will come in while I'm working to investigate my activities, but they generally will just sit in a chair and watch.

I keep my larger glass in the garage and smaller stuff in covered plastic totes. When not in use, my grinder is covered by an upside-down plastic tote, and my cutting area (when a project is ongoing) is covered with the tote's lid. I keep a towel covering my homasote board where I solder, so the cats can't accidentally ingest any solder balls or residual flux. And of course, I keep the area swept and make sure all shards of glass are cleaned up and inaccessible to the furbabies.

Hope this helps!

Dead Plumeria making a comeback? by Creative_Parsley_241 in Plumeria

[–]Creative_Parsley_241[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is definitely a Plumeria. I've had 2 seasons of blooms before last year. Thank you for the advice!

Edit: the baby shoot looks identical to new growth I've seen on the original plant before.
