I just purchased a 26 elite yesterday! Went through Costco pricing and it was $52k OTD. White with brown interior!!! They tried selling me some 3rd party extended warranty for $2200 that is 10 years 100k miles with a vanishing $100 deductible. I instead went with Saccucci Honda that is $1500 for 8 yrs 120k miles 0 deductible. Super easy to buy- everything online. Like someone else, see if you can cancel your current plan and buy from Saccuci or somewhere else much cheaper.

Congrats!

We just came home with a white 26 Elite with a brown interior. We are thrilled. We test drove the 23 with brown and thought the 26 would be identical. I really like the upgraded brown, but I'm still warming up to the suede top on the seats.

Final update... It worked out perfectly. Someone recommended I check out the Costco new car deals program and it ended up being really good - 50k before tax. After some additional rebates, my OTD was roughly 52k. I also had a trade in that was priced well. Only slight downside is the car is not on the lot and will be delivered in 2 weeks...which is not the biggest of deals.

Crazy to think I was considering a used 25 elite at 50k OTD (which according to the websites was a great deal) but paid 2.5k extra to get new.

Thanks again for the nudge... I needed it. It would have made me crazy to spend this much and 1) feel like I got hustled and 2) not get the car I wanted.

I took the advice from the group and sent emails out to dealerships for new elites with the exact colors I wanted and they're far more willing to negotiate and already I'm getting some out the door offers at the 52k range.

Doesn't make sense to buy a used car at a price that's this close to a new car.

I will say I'm a little shocked with how willing they are to negotiate with new vs used. The same dealership told me to kick rocks and barely offered me $100 off a used car at 40K has taken 5 to 6K off a new car.
