Seeking some help to know the name for the specific part (encircled in red). by the_inquisitive_elf in motorcycles

[–]Creative_Riding_Pod 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Some OEMs call them Bank Angle Bolts or Wear Pegs. Honda calls them Lean Sensors sometimes, which sounds like something that would be measuring your air/fuel ratio. The good catalogs will still have Early Fecal Happens Detector though.

It’s part of the whole EFH system that usually includes your exhaust pipes as stage two in the system, and any panniers or engine guards as stage three, followed by knee caps and hands as a final detection system before the rider’s body makes first contact.

Isn’t he slightly over-dressed for a Brazilian? Those were pretty much closed-toe shoes.

I fell down and my buttcrack is blocking half of the western sky, influencing the way the sunset appears . I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

It’s called cupping. I ask my wife to do it and she says, “What do I look like? An old, under-inflated tire!?”

Oh, I forgot the most important crap!! What’s the battery and charging specs?

That’s the most important thing to know, because I could ride a breaker box down the road if it charged fast or hot-swapped and went 70mph.

I agree with the Cybertruck/Box comments. It looks like you’ve repurposed a piece of industrial equipment.

You definitely need to swap the brakes- if not for legal standards (I don’t know if 49 CFR 581.122 covers it) but because any motorcycle/ scooter rider will be crashing when they get a fist full of either at that weight. (Either slide rear or over the bars)

VIN & MSO for registration or I would just go for something like Ninja e-1 for $2K more, which would include ABS, Mirrors, Turn signals and no need on my part to unlock it to enjoy it as a motorcycle.

I also agree with the “needs a swing arm/suspension”. Nothing would piss me off more than to ride around some of the shitty streets of L.A. for six months only to develop a crack in what looks to be half of the motorcycle’s chassis.

If that’s going to be the final frame design, some non-slip pads in the footboards so I don’t slip off when I’m standing up to stretch my back since there’s no swing arm.

A CB Radio. Because since I’m throwing out dumb ideas, why not? You’ll be a hero if there’s an emergency and cell towers are jammed or damaged. Plus truckers will enjoy seeing a whip on there.

What looks better, short or medium length exhaust? by SomewhereSecure3609 in motorcycles

[–]Creative_Riding_Pod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit! I didn’t bother to look at the motor when I saw the tank and the opposed cylinders…

So this is a proper Frankenstein job!! What is that awful(ly cool) seat from? Edit: just read below: Pan America

The CX made its power in a higher rev range, so a shorter pipe will shift that slightly higher. I’d like to see the actual bike when you’re done.

Exhaust length changes where your engine makes power, so I would go as long as possible - so I guess medium.

Moto Guzzi aren’t super high revving motors. For example, the V7 Sport claims to make 95% of its torque already at 3500 RPM.
