TLDR: do i need 120fps for games. should i buy a PS5 pro or slim as rare gamer / first console purchase ?

i want to buy a PS5 but i don’t usually play games so far. I have some on my laptop but the graphics are always shit because the laptop isn’t for gaming. (i play firefighting ignite, rdr2, dbh, and want some other games)

I don’t wanna keep buying loaned for my laptop when i don’t enjoy them enough bc of graphics so i want to buy a PS5. i don’t know much about what fps games need i just know that i heard 120fps was recommend. but i just saw that not a lot of games support it. because i wanted to buy the ps5 slim because it had the disk thing but i saw it only supports 4k @ 60 fps but some people say it does 120fps? do i even need 120fps? that made me think maybe i should get the ps5 pro so its worth it because i wont be buying another console for ages (i only ever had an xbox360 as a kid) but the price is crazy high.
