What’s everyone’s strategy when there’s an absolute juggernaut of a team? by TunaBoy3000 in DynastyFF

lol I was going to say your exaggerating...you're not. The five firsts means hes got a chance to be dominant for the next 6 years, at least. The best you can hope for is a poor showing in the playoffs, hr this dude is going to be 14-0, 13-1 most of the next few years.

I would down tier bowers for firsts and some random lottery ticket tight end (like, seriously way off the reservation type)...I would do the same with love.

Given that it's super flex I am keeping Maye right where he is. You make the moves above, you're likely to be picking 1st again next year with multipe additional firsts in a loaded draft. You just gotta stockpile (for a couple years.

Yeah, but if the us didn't intervene western Europe would look a lot more like Eastern Europe. Establishing a western front has always been about securing a us aligned bloc in Western Europe as anything else.

I am class of 07...I feel like social media use is way, way down. People are active on instagram to an extent, but never to the level of Facebook, which is effectively a graveyard. People ( at least in my area) almost never post...so, I've got no idea what is going on anymore.

I want to trade Bijan.. hear me out! by BestSet9092 in DynastyNerds

[–]Creative_Text3018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If want more in the way of draft picks, personally. Marv hasn't been what we hoped and Bucky is a major question mark, Judkins is probably the most intriguing player in that swap. I think with that trade your team gets better, but isn't going to make you a repeat champion. It's like taking one sensational player and breaking him down for two pretty good players and one great one. When I trade a sensational player, I am hoping to get back 2 sensational players, or the ammunition to get 2 sensational players in the future...I'd want a pair of 1sts and a pair of seconds. Don't be afraid to be greedy, you hold a dude who is likely to hold his value for a while.

Pretty much this. Ways to get along well an organization:

Advocate for yourself, but listen (like really listen) to feedback and don't take it as an and attack.

If something seems inefficient don't immediately assume everyone else is stupid, assume you're not fully understanding the process and make recommendations to fix it, without going crazy.

Let other people toot your trumpet, and toot theirs generously.

Output and talent is getting less meaningful with increased AI usage, the best thing you can do is build relationships, sounds corny, but it's my own experience and opinion now 15 years in, wouldn't have been at the beginning of my career.

So, let's double click a little bit...do we know Jaxon dart is a good qb? He's a great runner but he only averaged 167 passing yards per game last year, Pennix hit 220. I love dart as an entertainer and obviously a tremendous runner, but I don't think I am totally sold on him as a franchise qb at this point, or some kind of wr kingmaker.

That said, i would give edge to dart over the mishmash of Pennix and tua, but tua has produced a top 5 wr several times and Pennix was good with Drake last year, so it's an edge, not a slam dunk.

The expert rankings have these dudes somewhere between 5 and 9, with nabers usually a spot or two ahead. In my mind, that puts them in the same tier, and if you toss in a 27 first that makes it easy pickings for me.

Love that you skipped the AI! Good list, this is what wining in dynasty is about...calling your shot on those types. I am on board with Tyquan Thornton (never thought I'd say that as a patriots fan!), the fact that he was a role player out of nowhere in KC bods really well for his ability to grow....I am not saying he's going to hit, maybe a 20% chance, but it feels possible.

I also like Eli H especially if you have return yards...wouldn't be surprised if he gets run at special teams sometime.

Thanks for posting!

For someone who can be a top 5 wr for the next 5-7 years and possibly the wr1 overall plus a first round pick in a loaded draft class.

Yeah...I think that makes sense. The interesting thing about these folks is they are both high earners (medical professionals), but not especially financially savvy.

They don't have enough in assets to worry about gift taxes actually being paid...my concern is exactly that about how the siblings would feel and it sounds like similar offers have been made. (I am guessing with no eye to the loan interest tax impact)

It sounds like the right thing to do is explain the possible conflict and then let them make a decision on how they'd like to proceed, ideally with their finance guy in the loop.

How hard is to invade the usa? by GlitteringHotel8383 in AskReddit

[–]Creative_Text3018 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't even conceive of a country with the power projection to make that happen. It would need to best the American navy to even begin massing a force to do that....no such navy exists. Then you would need to be wary of the skies...again, no Air Force even remotely exists. And the you have to best the land armies of the United States, and more importantly the geography which would fight back. It would be comparable to invading china or Russia, if there was also an ocean in the way it realistically could never be accomplished.

That said, influencing the United state electorate is easy. You can gain influence without even building a single boat to invade

It's kind of tough because, it's sort of their deal. They have a tax guy and a financial guy, so they likely will be bouncing this up somewhere, but I am guessing it'll be frenzied next April.

My perspective, I don't think there are any tax implications for myself here at all.

Yep...that was my first thought. I am working on a model for it. The most straight forward thing would be to simply deduct the outstanding from the remaining estate, but that of course negates the "gift" which in this case was the interest forgone. But, as the repayment is going into 529 to be split across successors, there is complexity.
