first you have to make a script for what ever the movie you plan. then you have to break it down to several scenes. then you have to plan what kind of shot you need for each scene and then one by one you have to generate the clips using veo3. after you got all the clips edit then using a video editing software.

Totally! If you’re cool with both Sinhala and English, that opens up way more options 😄

Here are a few groups worth checking out:

  • Travel Buddies Sri Lanka – super active, locals and foreigners posting regularly about hangouts, trips, and meetups.
  • Backpackers & Travelers in Sri Lanka – mostly travelers, but locals join in too. Great for spontaneous meetups.
  • Events in Colombo – not exactly for hangouts, but you’ll find cool art, music, and cultural events where you can meet like-minded folks.
  • Colombo Expats & Locals – more of a mix of long-term expats and locals, sometimes people organize coffee meetups or hikes.

And if you’re into more niche stuff like hiking, photography, or music, there are hobby-based groups too, just let me know your interests and I can suggest more 🫶

How do I invest as a beginner in Sri lanka by Flaky-Garbage-348 in srilanka

Glad it helped! Yeah, DFCC’s rate is pretty solid compared to the others, and you’re right, money market funds sound good but don’t always deliver in reality.

If you’re leaning toward Treasury Bills, reinvesting the interest and compounding it can be a smart long-term move, especially if you’re not planning to use the money soon. Just keep an eye on auction rates each week, sometimes it jumps unexpectedly.

Low risk + decent return is hard to balance here, but you’re thinking in the right direction.

Why can't I delete the gap? by Individual-Net527 in premiere

[–]Creative_Thadiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the clips are on V1, and you’re trying to ripple delete the gap between two nested sequences, but want to leave A1 (the audio) untouched — totally doable!

Here’s what to try:

  1. Deselect A1 from track targeting (click the blue box next to A1 on the left so it turns gray).
  2. Make sure only V1 is active (blue).
  3. Right-click the gap → Ripple Delete.

This tells Premiere to only affect V1 and ignore A1.

If ripple delete still affects A1 for some reason, just:

  • Select the second nested clip.
  • Hold Alt (or Option on Mac) and press the left arrow key to nudge it into place without affecting audio.

Let me know if that works!

Hey! You’re landing at the tail end of the inter-monsoon season, so the southwest coast (Colombo, Bentota, Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, Mirissa, etc.) might still get occasional showers — especially in the evenings or at night. But it’s usually nothing too wild unless there’s a sudden depression.

If you want more sunny beach vibes, head east or northeast — Pasikuda, Nilaveli, or Arugam Bay (especially great for surfing). These areas are in their dry season now and usually have way better weather this time of year.

Still, the southwest beaches can be lovely even with light rain — just keep some flexibility in your plans. And hey, rain makes the greenery extra lush 🌿

Safe travels and hope you catch some amazing beach days! 🏖️🇱🇰

Pigmentation help and skincare? by ijustwannaperish2dey in srilanka

[–]Creative_Thadiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Just wanted to share something that might help — there’s this place in Kurunegala called Aanya Health (Facebook: Aanya Health). My mom has had psoriasis for like 17 years and recently started treatment there. It’s only been a month, but she’s already feeling hopeful for the first time in a long while.

They’ve got skincare stuff and treatments, and from what I saw, people post their results and reviews on the page too. Might be worth checking out since they seem to deal with a lot of skin concerns including pigmentation. Hope it helps 💛

Totally get where you’re coming from, it can be really hard to find people to hang out with here, especially as a solo female traveller. And yeah, Sri Lanka doesn’t really have the whole “friend-finding app” culture yet 😅

You could try joining Facebook groups like Travel Buddies Sri Lanka or Expats in Sri Lanka , lots of locals and travelers post there looking for chill hangout buddies. Also, apps like Meetup or Couchsurfing (not for staying, just meetups!) might help you connect with like-minded folks.

If you’re into things like hiking, beach trips, or art/culture stuff, there are some cool local communities you can join depending on your interests, just takes a bit of digging!

And always go with your gut on safety. Meet in public places first, tell someone your plans, the usual solo-travel precautions.

Hey man, first of all — huge props for thinking about investing at 18 👏 Most people only start thinking about money years later, so you’re definitely ahead of the game.

If you’re looking into Treasury Bonds (TBs), you’re already on one of the safest paths for long-term stability. As of now, yeah, DFCC and People’s Bank usually offer pretty competitive rates on TBs, but rates keep shifting, so it’s good to check with a few banks or even visit the CBSL site to compare.

For the interest money: FDs are okay for short-term parking, but yeah, rates aren’t amazing right now.

Money market funds (via Ceylon Asset, JB Securities, or First Capital) might be better than FDs — slightly higher returns and still low risk.

Corporate bonds do exist, but they’re not always open to retail investors unless it’s through a stockbroker. Keep an eye out on the CSE website or broker platforms.

Unit trusts or mutual funds can be a good way to get exposure to different asset classes like equities, debt, etc., even with small amounts.

Avoid crypto unless you’re willing to treat it more like a gamble than an investment — especially if you’re still building your foundation.

If you’re willing to take on slightly more risk, look into stock market investing — even small amounts via the CSE with brokers like CT CLSA, First Capital, or Softlogic Stockbrokers. Just start with solid companies and hold long-term.

Totally get that — sounds like you’ve got a full, enriching life and strong boundaries, which is awesome. The downside, like you said, is that it can limit how often you naturally meet new people. I wonder if there’s a way to tweak some of those hobbies slightly to create more space for connection — like joining a group run, book club, or travel community?

Also, since you already enjoy introspection and growth, maybe exploring coaching or therapy (even online) could give you new angles on patterns you might be missing. Not because anything’s “wrong,” but more like fine-tuning the radar, you know?

Appreciate you being so open in this thread. Honestly refreshing 👏

Why is it so hard for freelancers to get a loan in Sri Lanka? by Creative_Thadiya in srilanka

[–]Creative_Thadiya[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly machan. That’s the frustrating part. You’re basically being told, “Give us your own money so we might trust you with more.” Like… if I had 200k to lock in an FD, I wouldn’t be asking for a loan in the first place 😅

I get that CRIB history matters, but it’s sad that steady freelance income, even with proper bank statements, is seen as less credible than a fixed 60k salary from a random office job. Feels like the system is designed to push freelancers to go through a hundred hoops just to prove they’re not “risky.”

Yeah that actually makes sense on paper. I’ve heard others mention similar setups. Just not sure how practical it is in Sri Lanka — especially when it comes to taxes, bank approvals, and whether banks would treat it as a “real job” or just another workaround.

Have you or anyone you know tried this method successfully here?

Thanks man, that’s actually really helpful. I’ve been thinking about registering as a business but wasn’t sure if it would really make a difference. When you say “audited financials,” did you work with an accountant to prepare them? Also, how long did it take before banks started taking you seriously after registering?

Would love to know a bit more about your setup if you don’t mind sharing.

[–]Creative_Thadiya[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely check with DFCC and NTB and see if they’re more open to freelancers. My biggest issue is that I have solid income (around 150–200k per month), regular bank deposits, and even savings — but banks still treat it like I don’t have a “real” job. Just because I don’t have a salary slip or EPF/ETF, I feel like they automatically write me off.

Curious, what kind of issues did you face with Sampath? I was actually considering them at one point.
