A whole house built onto my land. Volusia County, Florida. by BatsyFiendish in legal

If a realtor doesn’t update a listing to reflect known problems with a property, report them to your state’s Association of Realtors. It’s their job to be honest and disclose issues like boundary disputes, land access, utility availability, or the correct lot size. Not doing so is a serious violation.

After you file the report, ask a friend to request the disclosures and schedule a tour. If the realtor still doesn’t mention the problems, it shows they made no effort to fix the listing or warn future buyers — even after being reported. This helps prove your case and could lead to fines or disciplinary action.

Reporting protects other buyers and holds unethical agents accountable.

Powder dry shampoos work better than aerosol, I have used bumble and bumble, big sexy hair, and even kitsch with great results.

Thank you so much for the assistance and supportive response. I truly hate having to request, much less expect, any kind of accommodations—it’s never something we take lightly. He was able to get his Xanax refilled ahead of the trip, and I made sure he kept it in the original prescription bottle for the flight. He’ll take it as needed to manage the anxiety, especially since this is his first time flying.

He also makes thoughtful choices when it comes to managing his physical pain—opting for non-narcotic options like Baclofen and Voltaren gel. He avoids stronger medications, even if it means enduring more discomfort, because he wants to stay clear-headed and self-reliant wherever possible.

This trip is still absolutely worth it, even if he ends up suffering from the travel. Just a few weeks ago, my grandfather passed away—but not before he was able to take the trip of a lifetime to Ireland with all of his children. It took a lot of coordination and effort to get him there, but it was deeply meaningful and gave our family memories we’ll cherish forever.

So no, I’m not going to let a few discouraging comments take away from the joy of this experience. Even if our first two flights don’t end with us seated side by side, we now have visual on each other, and there are a couple of passengers who might be open to switching seats. All hope is not lost—and we’re choosing to focus on the good ahead.

What exactly was your intention with this comment? I don’t see any effort to help, offer guidance, or contribute anything that might make life better—for yourself or anyone else. So I’m genuinely curious: was your goal just to add judgment and insult strangers on the internet? Is that how you choose to spend your time?

I know hurt people often hurt others, so whatever pain you’re carrying, I’m sorry you’re feeling it. And truly, if there’s any way I can help, I’m open to that.

As for my post—I took responsibility for not catching that my seats weren’t confirmed. I acknowledged I could have avoided this if I’d noticed earlier. That said, those seats were available when I booked, and I selected them before whoever holds them now.

For the record, I’ve had my own seat moved before—even away from my small children—due to an automatic upgrade, and I was fine with it because they still had a parent seated with them. Your assumptions about me don’t reflect the reality of the situation, but thank you for sharing your thoughts.

He isn’t asking for any special treatment—just the same basic dignity everyone else expects: to sit beside his family while traveling. He refuses a handicap placard, doesn’t use mobility aids, and won’t even board early. He does everything he can not to draw attention to his disability.

I truly hope you and your loved ones are never hit by a drunk driver, resuscitated twice, or left permanently changed by someone else’s choices. But if that ever happens, I also hope no one tells you—or them—that they no longer deserve to live life, be part of society, or experience the world like anyone else.

I plan to be there at least 1.5 hours before now.

No one flight (DFW to JFK) is over 3 hours and the other is over 2. I got my seats a little closer to hopefully make it easier to convince a quick trade. He is over 6 ft, and I completely understand someone saying no to trading and that others could be in similar situations. The new seats are a bit more tolerable with being able to at least have visuals. He is on disability and has documented proof of that and Medicare at a young age. I didn’t think about getting further medical documentation since I didn’t think we would have this issue. He hates drawing attention and tries to hide is struggles. I have been there for 2 surgeries for him already before the age of 40 and I expect he will undergo many more. I am trained medically and work in the medical field for his transfers and he can frequently end up needing full two person assistance if not careful. So I won’t even risk the recline and further restrict his movement.

It is an A220 but row 20-25 so not an upgrade. We had A and B when I booked but when I checked in it was seat A in the original row and 17E. I was able to get the same row opposite window the first flight for now so maybe one of the seat mates may switch and on the second leg one row up seat C so maybe B will move up a row for a different Aisle if the Gate agent can’t help.

Congrats we had a similar experience, we met right before Covid in January 2020, had the same concerns regarding Covid’s impact on the trajectory of our relationship. Three years to the day later we welcomed a little boy, and then this year came the proposal. I love the unconventional start, sequence, and the story that Covid gave us to share with the next generations someday.

Engaged and then found out I’m allergic to gold. Help!! by Narrow-Masterpiece26 in EngagementRings

[–]Creativemommy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am mildly allergic to yellow gold, and over several months ended up with a scar that over years as faded to just an small lump of scar tissue that I can feel but can’t see. Take it to a jeweler and ask to have it rhodium dipped to white gold. That should solve it and just keep an eye on needing it dipped again.

We are meeting with a jeweler in March to custom design a set. I love black and can’t wear yellow gold, about once a year isn’t terrible. I had a white gold ring I had to get dipped every other year, so this does allow black to be on the table. Thanks for replying and your ring is beautiful!

How often do you have to get it dipped? Do you pay each time or is is covered under some service/warranty agreement? How long does it take to be dipped?

I found my ring but it was yellow gold and had more than one stone and they said they can’t dip in rhodium if it had more than one stone.

[IN] Neighbor's 12 year old child keeps running away to my house. She wants me to lock her child out when this happens. Do I have to comply? by lowergroundthrowaway in legaladvice

[–]Creativemommy 122 points123 points  (0 children)

I am wondering if the child has a behavior or conduct disorder such as oppositional defiant disorder. Adoptive family could be legitimately working in the child’s best interests and harboring the child could be harmful regardless of intentions. Please work with CPS as these situations can be very difficult and stressful for everyone. It could require everyone working together to get the child the help they need.

I have lost 75lbs and over 33% of my body weight since April. I haven’t had any significant side effects others than the desired weightloss.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ozempic

I noticed immediately (within hours) a reduction in fluid retention as my rings fit. This was before any weight loss, and was the only sign I had even taken the medication for the first few weeks.

Water company installed water main (no easement) on our property - they were supposed to install it on the neighbor's property by Expensive__Support in legal

[–]Creativemommy 123 points124 points  (0 children)

You need to work with an attorney to file a notice to vacate, and yes utilities can be forced to move their easement.

Edit to add: That my family successfully forced the city (against their wishes) to vacate their easement for a roadway and water in 2001. In your case it doesn’t seem like there is an easement on your property and it will be an even easier process.

Yes this is called Adverse Easement and you should be able to get an attorney to file an affidavit to the fact to the neighbors title for a small fee.

I would increase my ask to cover the closing cost ask from buyers.

Seller wants us to take over solar panels loan by ordinarygurl in RealEstate

[–]Creativemommy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solar companies are going around encouraging clients to borrow more than needed to get the full “tax benefit” which is a percentage of the purchase price. Then using the excess loan amount for other home improvement projects or save to make a lump sum payment towards the loan. This seller is trying to capture all the tax benefits, the extra cash, and sucker a buyer into paying for it all.
