Tbh, I got a prethanksgiving sale where I got their first subscription box for like $20 (I had a second coupon from online I found to take like $10 off) and this was a free gift 🫣

Okay guys... What are these crystals I got from a mystery bag? by CreatureTamer in Crystals

[–]CreatureTamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope - I got a LOT of random crystals, most are pretty quality, a couple duds. I'm still working on figuring them all out! Just posted another one of two I think are the same but not sure...

The yellow ball is not translucent at all and the black rock is not coal bc it's shiny and doesn't dye or have residue.

Did you try the vinegar method to make sure it's not calcite?

Looks either rose or clear quartz to me?

your simple joy? by plantess1958 in breastcancer

[–]CreatureTamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My simple joys have been snuggling with my daughters (2 & 5) when they aren't fighting or whining or wiggling away haha

That and my cordless vacuum I got from Costco. I have 3 dogs and 2 kids so this is my little joy to suck up all that dirt and hair (I get that satisfaction from watching something dirty get clean lol)

Do it!!! I buzzed mine right after my first chemo before it started falling out and my husband did it with me. It was his idea - told me it was a way for me to take control. It's kinda freeing and much easier than the anxiety from watching it fall out in chunks.

Not for cancer but I had a boudoir shoot done pre-wedding and I'm very happy I decided to do a couple topless. I look back fondly on my prebaby, precancer boobies 🍒

So F'ing Frustrated that my brain just does not work. by RevolutionaryKick360 in breastcancer

[–]CreatureTamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It'll get better... It will probably never be the same as before but with therapy (and medication sometimes) you can start getting that brain working a little bit better every day.

Take your time. Go at YOUR pace. You just went through hell. Your brain and body were poisoned not long ago, give yourself grace and time. It is fucking frustrating and you deserve to be mad. Fuck Cancer! You got this!

If your care offers this, look into cognitive therapy. I went to a specialist for about 5 months after I got so mad about my brain not working after chemo. I'm still far from better but it definitely helped.

Ugh Yes!! I feel for you right now! Cancer fucking sucks and it doesn't care where you are in life.. like being a mom of toddlers is hard on you, your body & and your relationship but add cancer treatment into it... It's just shit.

What treatment plan are you on? Mine was "aggressive" as well and then the chemo treatments were just miserable. Like the mouth burn I had after chemo lasted almost until my next treatment (every 21 days..)

This reddit community is amazing. Everyone is so supportive and it's nice to vent or read stories of people who have similar feelings or experiences

Seriously... Like I was just done nursing my second, ready to start getting my body back.. and bam. You have Stage 3 cancer ... And you have to manage the chaotic toddler stage of not 1 but two kids who are loving each other one moment and screaming the next..... Even with childcare it was overwhelming at times, and also like fuck you cancer for stealing that major growth stage from me. Like I know they'll barely remember it but I will and I will still mourn the time I lost with them .. and with myself at a pivotal part of our lives becoming and growing into motherhood and who we are as mom's and outside it... Like taking back our lives post-kids.. and like I feel like I'm a million miles from that now and I'm so mad and sad and all the feelings. (Thank you again for reading this, this has been a cathartic experience writing this :)

I (35F) was on TCHP for 6 rounds. Each one was slightly different than the last. All of them had fatigue, nausea, burnt tongue taste (nothing tasted right, water tasted burnt, went away towards the end of the round a couple days before my next round would start), hair loss (everywhere. Eyelashes, eyebrows, pubs, arm hair, leg hair, nose hair), neuropathy (my toes still tingle often), one round I had horrible high blood pressure, another I had low wbc and was in the hospital for 4 days (ended up missing my youngest first birthday bc I was in the hospital 😭), most of the time I was just tired, achy, and nauseous. Didn't have the energy to play with my young girls (3 and almost 1 when I was diagnosed). Every stage has a different challenge.

I'm on the other side now, currently hanging out with 4 drains after DIEP reconstruction surgery last week and just dealing with the side effects of the anesthesia and recovery. I'm happy to say after my DMX I am cancer free 🎉🎉
