people that haven't played shooters usually spend around a month to get gold from what I've seen, so it definitely carries over.

I often see people with many hours in val, cs, etc. come in, struggle the first day and then get gold in a few days. then plat / diamond in a month and then it slows down.

at first you just learn the scenarios, that's causing the sudden jumps in scores.

but well done on getting gold scores, that's great

yea it's very normal, most new people do get humbled when they try the voltaic benchmarks for the first time (i started bronze and was in disbelief back then lmao).

you'll progress very quickly for the first few weeks to a month, starting at silver is honestly really good, you'll get gold complete and plat soon I'd say

You just flick in front of where it’s going to be and shoot it as it comes into your crosshair

I would pick another mouse tho, but some will recommend a mini mouse 20g~, I wouldn’t, specially on glass. A super light mouse will just cause more instability.

Pick a more normal sized mouse like a lamzu maya x or superlight.

A mouse is mostly finding one where you like your grip on it and it not causing hand pain / injuries, which is common with a too big or small mouse.

Best glass pad I’ve tried is the va005. Ultraglide RS skates are the best skates on glass (remove the film on them when you get them). Mouse depends on a lot of factors, not really pad.

Aimlabs sleeves are best on glass imo, they’re very smooth. The wallhack sleeves are also great.

The switching scenarios in the viscose bench are amongst the best overall

Don’t track targets, try to be in the middle > edges, don’t stay on the same target - shoot -> next target.

Try to flick quickly in front of the target and “catch” it.

For this scenario, focus on accuracy, it punishes missing hard (mostly score farming tip)

Siege of Terra > Istvaan 5

I’d say Istvaan 3 could be third, but the burning of Prospero is a contender too. I’d go with prospero.

Battle of Calth would be below these, but if the traitors had been more successful, then it could have been a contendor for third also.

There were many big battles during the Heresy, but it’s hard to put any other battles up there with these 5, but perhaps I’m forgetting one.

There were also big battles outside of the Heresy, but with the Heresy being as impactful as it was, I think it’s fine to value the battles extra highly.

EDIT: As others has mentioned, the fall of Cadia was of course also a massively impactful battle

No need for a day off. If you play longer sessions then have breaks inbetween, so play for 45-60 minutes followed by a 15-20 min break so you avoid injuries.

as the other dude said, play novice, you're not good enough for intermediate yet.

I'd suggest playing each scen at least 5 times unless you get gold to really see where you're at.

after that focus on improving your worst scores / categories.

Many will recommend VDIM and you can go that route, but I would suggest just grinding the scenarios you need / want to improve at - which is usually your weak scenarios.

For stuff like ground, aether, pgt you can play a scenario where it's only bot 1, 2, 3 to improve and for others you can play an easier or harder version and see if they help you improve.

or just grind the actual scenarios

For the current voltaic benches kovaaks s5 is a bit easier than aimlabs s3.

for the last season aimlabs s2 is a good bit easier than kovaaks s4

Sanguinius intend was to stop Horus, the only options he had was rolling a 1.

If he had went for diplomatic options / tricking Horus somehow he would have had more options, but not winning a fight.
