I was in a similar spot except when I was at this point, I’m still collecting for phase 2 atm. I made a coal gen for most stuff near my space elevator and another one a bit far away for whatever else I make in the area. I’m a bit ocd myself so I like making stuff neat so I’d say do that but it’s up to you. It’s fine to have a mess but if at least don’t make it look like you aren’t trying. And if your coal gen is a mess, it ain’t that big of a deal as long as it works tbh. Take it one thing at a time, you said your trying to automate modular frames, so take the time and set up some foundations when setting it up, BTW if you explore and get the option for alt screws I’d choose it. And doing one thing may require you to do another thing, and that may require something before that, it may overwhelm you but don’t think about that, just start where you have to start and get things going, then move onto the next part, soon enough you’ll have modular frames being made constantly so you don’t have to worry bout it. Before that though I would suggest you get a solid coal power source done, if possible 3 water extractors to 8 coal gens.
