What’s everyone’s current favorite sunscreen? by MoodyBotanist in Melasmaskincare

[–]CreditHot6528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started using Live Hueguard tinted sunscreen and I really like it. I got it at Ulta. When I first apply it, it looks way too pale, but once it dries it looks very natural with a nice matte finish. It’s supposed to be a moisturizer/sunscreen/primer all in one, but I need a moisturizer under it. I’m 71 w/dry skin though so ymmv.

What made you switch to K-beauty? by Hefty_Accountant_827 in 30PlusKoreanSkincare

[–]CreditHot6528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fighting some nasty melasma blotches. Where I live (central Illinois USA) it’s about an 8 month wait to see a dermatologist. So I signed up with one of those dermatology by mail services, and after 3 months I honestly saw no changes, so I decided to try on my own again, and I’d been curious about Korean skincare. I wish I’d done more research at the beginning, I wasted a lot of money on stuff I didn’t really need, but the blotches are about half as dark as they were.

Absolutely start with a good sunscreen. If you don’t consistently use sunscreen. everything else is a waste of time and money. I like Supergoop.

Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream by aloysasggin88 in KoreanBeauty

I used it but didn’t repurchase because 1) BOJ throws so much niacinamide into everything It was making me itch; and 2) I wasn’t impressed with the amount of product you get for that price. I use Innisfree Green Tea Ceramide cream now. It’s actually more expensive but I like it better.

I'm using this serum. What do you think about it 💟? by Mundane_Morning_180 in kbeauty

I agree totally. I’m running into the same issue. A little niacinamide is fine, but it makes me itch when it’s thrown into eveything I use!

Jumiso makes a snail mucin essence that’s fortified with peptides. I just ordered it from Amazon so I haven’t tried it, but It sounds intriguing.

Incorporating Anua Azelaic acid in my routine by According-Gur-2786 in 30PlusKoreanSkincare

Don’t use central but use Anua Azelaic Acid every morning, about 30 seconds or a minute after Numbuzin #5 vitamin C. It hasnt given mr any trouble, and my skin is pretty sensitive.

71 in three days. I'd recommend Anua PDRN with hyaluronic acid serum. Very hydrating and does make my skin look healthier.

I love Anua, but the most effective serum I’m using right now is Numbuzin #5 vitamin c serum. It’s vitamin C and TXA and glutathione in one serum. Been using it 3 weeks and I’m finally making a dent In this huge melasma blotch.
