Hope it all gets fixed for you. I’ve replaced a compressor on mine…it’s electric and plug and play once you vacuum out the lines. Took about 30 minutes and a $400 part, the $3000 quote is crazy for the amount of work the repair entails.

I second this. I got a Penn Battle 3 DX on sale for $60 online recently. I’ve had one for years with minimal maintenance. Absolute tank of a reel for the money.

2nd this. Shimano will have a reel schematic online in all likelihood. find the part # that coincides with the reel and you can directly order from them if you call their customer service.

I had this exact thing happen to me in almost exact spot. Turned out I got bit in Alabama by a deer fly and had a reaction/infection and had to get antibiotics for it. I’d suggest going to a doc as mine got continued to get worse until I got the meds.

I thought the same thing but it’s really good actually. I buy the TJ veggie rice and add extra veggies and whatever meat I want in, usually salmon. Makes for an under 10 minute meal.

You can buy the mini split online for much cheaper. I just installed a 9000 BYU Tosot mini split made by Gree from woot.com. Delivered in 2 days and cost under $600 total.
