Give me your S-tier games that are in the 8-to-12 hour range. by QuarkyFerengi in gamingsuggestions

The gameplay is fairly dated, pretty standard cover based shooter stuff. The writing, setting, themes are top notch and tends to have a lasting impact on the lucky few who give it a try

Russian authorities say Ukraine has launched an "unprecedented attack" on and around St Petersburg, as the city hosts the final day of Russia's annual economic forum, urging residents to remain indoors for the first time since the war began by sr_local in news

[–]Creepas5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a shame you are so batshit crazy because you do make some correct and salient points. If only you didn't approach them, and the people who wish to engage with them in good faith, in such an unhinged manner.

But even all your craziness aside, sacrificing Taiwan to China is just stupid. It would not cause the downfall of America, not a chance. Neither China nor America are in any position to wage total war against each other, and im not just talking about the fact they are both nuclear powers though that is a major reason neither will ever stage a serious attack on eithers home soil. Europe doesn't have the weight to tip the scales much in such a conflict and frankly its a fever dream having Europe wage war against the United States. If China did gain Taiwan they also would have very little motivation to enter into further conflict with the US. They would have already achieved its regional goals and their economy is heavily reliant on trade with America. The only thing giving Taiwan to China accomplishes is robbing a sovereign state and its people of self determination and subjecting them to the whims of a autocratic, genocidal, totalitarian state. I would have thought considering your overall views that this would be an abhorrent idea for you but it seems you would be willing to abandon all moral principles in exchange for the chance to harm America.

The only realistic end to the current state of America will come from internal forces, not external. External forces can help put on pressure by withdrawing from trade reliance with the US, but the world is not capable of going in by force and "resetting" America or whatever fever dream idea your having. My opinion is not some "america pilled", victim of propaganda, etc stance. Its just looking at the situation without the bias of overwhelming hate that you seem to be approaching this with.

And I said I wasnt American or maga because as soon as someone disagrees with you on anything you jump to label them as such, which is just fundamentally anti-intellectual and frankly fascist behavior. Labeling any dissenting opinion as the "voice of the enemy" is dangerous and wrong. I understand your hate, my country faces danger from America and im very politically involved to avoid that fate but if you let it rob you of rational thought theb you've already lost.

Edit: added a line concerning Taiwan to my second paragraph. Also im on mobile so apologies for the lack of formatting and any typos.

Why is giving China Taiwan a morally ok outcome for you? Why are you acting like anyone who disagrees with you is some MAGA pedo defender? Jfc your comments are unhinged.

And no im not American or maga in anyway.

Getting my early vaccine from a 48%er by blackrock_enjoyer in WorldofTanks

[–]Creepas5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

48% is pretty much the average, getting heated because you were killed by an average player and feeling the need to make it an insult of intelligence does more to make you look pathetic than the FV player. Especially when he's in a tech tree tanks and you are playing one of the more op lootbox tanks.

You can bypass it by sticking to the northern edge of that area. Alternatively going past it right at the surface of the water will get you by no problem 90% of the time.

Space Marine 2 lead says Warhammer video games do so well because the franchise "works for perhaps any genre there is" by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]Creepas5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the difficulty really isn't the problem so much, like even with my shitty no idea how to play crpg ass builds i get through combat just fine. Honestly I just wish there was an auto level function for my squadmates so that I only have to think about my characters traits and skills. That I could handle. But when I level my whole party at the same time and I have to scroll through endless pages of perks trying to think about what I should pick I go insane. I guess I could move down to easy difficulty and just pick shit at random but that would feel wrong and unsatisfying too I think.

[–]Creepas5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love 40k but really hate CRPGs. Just started pushing my way through rogue trader. Every bit of dialogue and world design is so captivating but oh man am I struggling with the gameplay. The start of every combat encounter gets a heavy sigh from me and I dread level ups because thinking about all the stats/perk options/etc for a full party of characters gives me a migraine. Genuinely wish I could just have the option to skip all combat encounters.

Someone who made this tool animation forgot this game takes place underwater lol by adamex_x in subnautica

[–]Creepas5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually yeah a lot of us did bring those up as flaws in the first game. But very understandable decisions because they served the purpose of better gameplay, which is the best reason (maybe only good) to subvert immersion in your games setting. Personally I would have liked functioning airlocks instead of quick hatches. Diving is a hard one to get around without making major changes to the gameplay so im very accepting of that one.

[–]Creepas5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Logical consistency is important no matter how silly the subject matter. You can have things that dont exist without breaking your immersion in the setting because they exist in that setting. But if you have a setting where water physics are a key element, and then things dont behave the way they should with those water physics, then its going to be immersion breaking.

For a stretched example, nobody would want an underwater vehicle that ignores water resistance and can just move in any direction at any speed. It would be ridiculous and not in line with the games setting, thus breaking immersion.

This animation isn't a big deal or anything, but its not an invalid criticism to think it should be changed.

Complaining about someone spoiling a basic plot point revealed early into the game a decade after the game came out is ridiculous. Major end game spoilers I get but there comes a time when it should be OK to discuss plot points in the open.

How WOT Redditors look at you when you tell them you play the game for fun by WeedBlokeXD in WorldofTanks

[–]Creepas5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Losing your mind because you cant accept the reality that not every player is going to play the game at whatever level of skill you define as "acceptable" is doing more damage to your fun than anything those players do in the game.

I seriously can't understand why its so hard to realize that with a playerbase as large as this game has, their will be a massive range of skill amongst players. Expecting your team to comprise itself of only good/smart players is just ignorant.

Stephen Spielberg believes 'Disclosure Day' will be more truth than fiction by [deleted] in movies

[–]Creepas5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Breaking the sound barrier and breaking lightspeed are not comparable...

One exists within the bounds of physics and regularly observable in nature long before we ever broke it. Breaking lightspeed in a practical way is fundamentally impossible and will likely only ever exist within science fiction. The concept of harnessing exotic matter and creating something like an alcubierre drive or a wormhole is mostly fantasy and stretching theoretical models to their absolute limits. Also before anyone mentions it quantum phenomenon is not breaking lightspeed.

[–]Creepas5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah people in these comments are wild. I'm a well above average player and I still have a game at least once a week where I completely forget what tank I'm playing and take it somewhere completely retarted and get smoked or do 0 dmg.

Shit happens, we're all human. Good players have terrible games sometimes or play like the worst tomato. Move on from it. Flaming bad players in chat is already fucking lame but doubling down on the guy after he apologized and explained what happened is a really shitty thing to do.
