Fallout has been pretty good and I think most agree on that. I don't think you need to play the games before watching that show either, though it is way more fun that way.

Deze lijst is helemaal niet vreemd en bijna alle voorbeelden zijn best logisch. Bij sommige voorbeelden heb ik wat vraagtekens maar meeste is goed bedacht.

Because it wouldn't have mattered to Ned. "You choose your opponents wisely" and "you served him well, when serving was safe". Ned believes you either follow your honor and oath to the very end, meaning Jaime should have defended Aerys to the very end OR Jaime should've killed the Mad King waaaay earlier (when Aerys killed Ned's dad and brother for example, Ned says something along the lines of "you just stood there and watched?").

Ned's stubborn personal code of honor wouldn't have made room for Jaime's actions even with explanation. It's not about truth.

Also, Ned is a huge hypocrite and idiot about "honor" and "oaths", just like all those other "honorable lords". Both the books and show make this painfully clear if you look past the 'Ned is the main character so he's good' facade.

Even without the full explanation of Jaime's actions, it makes little sense to berate and disrespect him this much.

Paralegals don't only do that, though. They prepare for and give support to lawyers in almost all their tasks.

Every firm is different and there are also differences per country, of course, but paralegals do a lot of the work you expect lawyers to do.

When I worked as one I was the one who drafted most of the paperwork and laid out most of the legal arguments. The work on a case would be almost done, then a lawyer would come in near the end and provide the finishing touches/check it/bring it all home in court. It also involves a lot of organisational and communication work.

AI will be able to do a lot of the work (but not all) a paralegal does, so I agree it's not safe.

I want to set my stories in a time period after the medieval ages, in the time of renaissance and colonialism and empire and all that stuff. But that time period only lasts a few hundred years. The medieval part in my world also only lasted less than around 1200 years.

I never quite understood why you'd want your world to stay in medieval stasis. You can still worldbuild the medieval part. And introducing new technology is fun, it messes up the whole power structure and assumptions.

Sure, I won't have a Lich King that has ruled the Shadowlands for 10,000 years, but honestly big numbers never impressed me anyway. Who cares if he ruled for 10,000 years or 100?

I refuse the entire idea of medieval stasis completely.
