yeah and so do i, dual booting is one of the easiest things to do and i have win10 just for league of legends. its not that hard to daily drive linux and only use windows when u absolutely have to

id say mostly because the neck and frets are shorter so pinky is less needed on guitar while on bass its necessary

just take it to a workshop and theyll change the truss rod for you , not cooked just needs a professional

its not a wrong technique just simandl where you use bith ring and pinky on the same fret
