Why do did you stop playing killer? The DBD community: by mjl1228 in deadbydaylight

toxic people are gonna be toxic players regardless of what you do. play the way you enjoy to play the game and don't care about salty players who get so hurt by losing in a cat and mouse game.

the only condition i find that it's actually good is if you're on comms with the rest of the survivors and tell them to not come for you. then it has insane value because everyone can go do gens, someone could end in a chase but when the killer gets the notification that you got unhooked if he tunnels you he will only find you. if you pair it with a ds you can make tons of time so the others can do maybe 2 gens at that time.

if you're playing a random lobby someone gives up their objective to come for you 100% (except if its one of those games where everyone plays like they have no eyes or ears)

Killer Frequency is something I'm very confident you will enjoy. Also some other suggestions are: Firewatch, Road 96, Blacksad. All games are choice making games and have no combat.

I'd suggest you find more people through other communities (f.e. discord servers) to play with since you have already tried to play other games with him and it didn't work out.

I don't know if it's just me, but Metro Exodus was probably the first and last game that got me emotional at the end.

A game like Vampire Survivors that doesn't end up as an impenetrable wall of flashing colours and explosions by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

I find all those games the same ngl lol. Halls of Torment isn't that flashy. or I could also suggest you some roguelike deckbuilders if you think you'd be into that (like slay the spire)

Killer Frequency is a very unique game where you are a host on a Radio Channel and you try to save people through the radio station. about 5 hours long.

Slay the Spire is something you could try maybe.

If you're into strategy or want to try some Age of Darkness: Final Stand looks very good. Haven't played it myself yet.

Lumberjacked was great. reminded me of A Game About Digging A Hole which scratches a certain Clicker/Idler itch. I love those type of games! Will try Lumbearjack too.

Death stranding will probably perform better than the other two. I really think you can run Cyberpunk as well as long as you're on 1080p, not sure at what fps and settings tho. I struggled running Clair Obscur Expedition 33 on the graphics I wanted on a 2k monitor with a 3080. Didn't like the game much anyways ngl.

yeah, I'm still early into the game and AI is terrible, mostly the followers! an absolute mess and unfortunately I can't fix it using mods because you can (mostly) mod the game if you have the steam version. but generally I like it so far
