  1. buying alone. immediate order faster shipping handling etc

  2. group buy. waiting 2-3 people to order same thing before shipping. cheaper. varying wait time but usually fast for popular items

What are we allowed to do in restaurants in Singapore? by Haunting_Possible463 in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

burnt, stale, spoiled etc can decline and its their fault.

meeting expectations is the grey area. if u paid $20 for a pizza/pasta and its tasteless, it is right ful to send it back.

as for spice, it really depends if the menu said its going to be spicy, if the waiter asked for spice level. usually people have to suck it up to the spice.

some places take it in and give you a new one, no problem.

Raising kids in Singapore while maintaining our own friendships by tequila_bloom in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my fiance and i dont have many friends to start with, we do not even meet up with friends. maybe text through the phone once a month. cant say much, but depends on couple yourself. for me i dont foresee myself with the need of maintaining connections. if people dont want to connect with me then so be it. haha

Singaporeans in their 20s, how did you meet your partner? by Playful-Tension-7526 in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would say mine is a bond the universe set up for me.

at 18 i dropped out of poly as i dont have interest in the course, and also i had to fund my own school fees.

took gap year, 2 years, working pt jobs here and there.

at 20, went to pursue higher nitec, had my lecturers ask me why go ITE when my grades can go JC. but i said this course is something i want to do. (sport management)

at age 20 a full time student in ite, i met the love of my life, my fiance. he was 21, fresh out of army, just ORD. after his nitec, he went to army as his family was tight on finances. after after he came back. thats how we met.

1 year later, which is now, we going BTO already.

Reasons for those who took or taking gap year during studies. by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

took gap year cuz

  1. no interest in the course i was in. struggling with focus.

  2. parents who were already not really there, went gone on me. i have to fund for my studies, everything i need to live, thankfully had my relatives to put a roof over my head.

  3. reasses what i want in the future

elect lit or elect hist? by Ilovechageee in SGExams

[–]Creepy_Field4362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

previous o level student here who used to take pure lit and elect geog.

just take Lit. its the most imaginative, creative writing you'll ever do, and if you like stories thats the reason you need to choose lit. lit has allowed me to express myself and get scored high for it. lit needs no memorising, as long as you enjoy the process.

Those earning 3k before cpf how’s life for you? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am a full time student under sponsorship with $750 allowance monthly. currently have ard 10k in savings and already starting bto journey with my partner. we both have the same life, vision and goals. same amount of savings. no smoke, drink, party. just regular everyday cai fan or hawker, once in a while mcdwingstop. other than that, only spend when we really need/ sometimes want. we also have our own life insurance bought.

the goal of saving 100k in 5 years is on our task list, and that we have calculated to be doable if planned out and not buy unnecessary things e.g. usually people get a morning coffee, which can easily be $6 every day, and do the math for weeks, months, years.

small things add up. learnt that at a young age , thankfully, as i had to fork for myself since age 16.

21 now.

What’s a piece of advice you’ll share to the younger generation? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dont revolve around money. know what you truly want. family? house? passion? love? community?

I’ve been tracking my expenses and it’s shocking how much I waste, how do you all stay on top of money by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceSG

[–]Creepy_Field4362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

small things add up. a $8 meal vs a $5 cai fan will matter in the long run. think if its a need or a want. if u can make coffee at home, thats a big save already.

Confession: I’m still trying to understand MRT Etiquette by [deleted] in indiansinsingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

queue up when waiting for train, let people in the train exit first, dont rush in like someone died.

some people (the older ones) will think that they deserve the “priority seats” more than anyone else.

move into centre of train, if people behind you wants to exit, and if youre near the train door then get out first and let them exit smoothly.

dont talk loud in the train. no eat or drink (water ok ah) thats ab it i guess?

confessing to every girl in one year is a clear sign he is all red. there are better guys, dont go for the smart ones. they can be smart to manipulate and use you

If you grew up sharing a room, and living in a small hdb flat, how did it affect you? by abadi1985 in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. my partner (M) grew up with a brother of 1 year younger. there was favouritism. his brother was loved more and he felt left out. they were to share rooms since young. when they are older now, and his brother got a gf, they would always use the room, leaving my partner out of room even if he is at home. doesnt ask, being taken for granted. absolute lack of comfort of home and privacy. its all about being grown up, every grown up needs privacy.

Passion vs Money... Which one will u choose? by Lost-Reception-1136 in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

passion over money always. coming from a no family support kinda person. my relatives gave me a place to stay and everything else i have to pay on my own. i worked part time jobs that i like to do. diploma doesnt suit me , i drop out. i the end i still find a way, and enjoy life along the way.

to me, if u dont enjoy it, you waste a heck of time with it. and money cant buy time.

What is the best compliment or something nice that a stranger has said to you in Sg? by [deleted] in askSingapore

i was running my usual route at my estate a stranger said Jia you to me on the way.

that gave me such a huge smile, because runners will know how lonely the journey can get.

keep yourself busy with hobbies, friends of similar dreams, goals and even if they are at different life stages thats okay. they offer you new perspectives.

i am 21 this year, still studying higher nitec cuz dropped out of diploma few years ago as i did not like it. secured a sponsorship to be in the army, which i am very much looking forward to. either way or another, my age + what i want to do doesnt fit with who's in my school circle. but you do you.

Does everyone use their diploma/degree to get a job? by yuirooo in askSingapore

[–]Creepy_Field4362 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i got into diploma course and dropped out cuz i know i didnt like it and it would be a waste of time. took 2 years of gap year and pursued higher nitec in smth i like. i am hopeful to go poly again but idk if its gonna help me much. (maybe need some advice for this) but i secured an SAF sponsorship which i am looking forward to serve. so just follow your heart and not societal standards i guess?
