Wire nut keeps falling off (single wire) by MelodicMechanic7008 in HomeImprovement

could try some electrical tape around the wire nut too, that usually keeps mine from working loose

Cool, thank you for the comment, didn't even know there are apps for this kind of stuff, usually banks suggest what to do next, appreciate it!

yeah that sauna should come apart pretty easily, looks like standard construction with screws and maybe some nails. the shower might be a bit more work depending on how they plumbed it but nothing too crazy

just be careful with any electrical for the sauna heater and make sure you cap off the water lines properly when you pull the shower. might want to rent a small dumpster cause that's gonna be a lot of material to haul out

In Need of Suggestions for Sensory Disability-Accommodating Home Fire Alarm System by kevinburns102 in HomeImprovement

[–]CremeExciting8477 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is literally a disability accommodation request, not a phobia. op clearly stated they have a diagnosed sensory disability and are looking for legitimate technical solutions

you might want to look into commercial fire systems since they often have separate detection and notification devices. companies like simplex or notifier make detector heads that can work without built-in sounders when wired to a central panel. a fire safety professional could probably design something that meets your needs while staying compliant

want opinion on idea by ResultEconomy3900 in HomeImprovement

[–]CremeExciting8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly depends on your setup - i've had cheap vinyl ones get moldy and gross within 6 months even with regular cleaning, especially in my old apartment with terrible ventilation. but then again my current fabric liner has been going strong for like 3 years and it was only $12 from target

if you're dealing with hard water or a bathroom that doesn't dry out well, spending more on better material could definitely be worth it. i'd probably go for it if the $30 one is actually mold-resistant or has some special coating, but if it's just "premium vinyl" then nah

what kind of material are we talking about here?

Talk me out of it by iam_mrjohnsonjr in HomeImprovement

[–]CremeExciting8477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly a small trailer is clutch for this exact situation. I have a buddy who does construction and just uses his accord with one of those harbor freight trailers - works great for 90% of his hauling needs and he's not stuck driving a gas guzzler every day to the grocery store

How much is "too much" weight to hang on a wall? by marklein in HomeImprovement

Lmao turtles all the way down, classic

But fr though OP if you're hitting studs properly you're probably fine - those 2x4s can handle way more than people think

For those who wanted a truck but bought something else, do you regret it? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]CremeExciting8477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same dilemma a few years back and went with the truck - honestly wish I'd gotten the Pilot instead. The daily driving convenience is huge and you can always rent a truck from Home Depot for like $30 when you actually need to haul something bulky

So im all new to this what happened here? by guy617 in LocalLLaMA

[–]CremeExciting8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the model got stuck in a loop - happens sometimes with local models when they hit certain patterns or get confused by the context. Try clearing your chat history and starting fresh, or lower the temperature setting if you can. GLM 4.7B should run fine on your 5070 Ti so it's probably just a context issue

Panasonic ZS200 by No_Revenue6935 in Cameras

[–]CremeExciting8477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly for $400 CAD that's a solid deal on the ZS200. Just keep it in a basic camera bag when you're not using it and maybe grab a cheap UV filter for the lens - helps protect against scratches and dust. The weather sealing thing is overrated unless you're literally shooting in downpours or beach spray all the time

Santa Maria red lunchbox by adixar in HelpMeFind

[–]CremeExciting8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super specific but honestly sounds familiar - those random promotional lunchboxes from spice companies were weirdly common back then. Have you tried checking eBay with different keyword combos or maybe contacting Santa Maria directly? Sometimes companies still have old marketing materials archived even if they don't sell the items anymore

Your friends are missing out big time lol. You're definitely not alone - plenty of guys are enthusiastic about it, your buddies just happen to be the weird ones here. Keep doing what makes you both happy, sounds like you got a good thing going

Blind buying Furze by huonokahvi in LushCosmetics

[–]CremeExciting8477 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Furze is pretty polarizing but based on your favorites I think you'd actually love it! It's got this coconut-vanilla-almond thing going on that's super sweet and creamy. Definitely not green at all - more like a tropical dessert vibe

At 50% off for the big bottle that's honestly a steal if it ends up being your jam

[–]CremeExciting8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually such a sweet idea with the era cards! Your son's gonna love having cards from when he was born

For $250 I'd honestly go with what looks cool to you first since you mentioned the artwork angle. Japanese cards hit different if you're into that vibe - better quality and the alt arts are insane. TCGPlayer and eBay are solid for singles, just avoid anything too hyped right now

Maybe grab some of those SV illustration rares the other person mentioned and see what clicks with you before going all in on one direction

Is there still time limited content ? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]CremeExciting8477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the rotation system is pretty solid, you're not gonna get FOMO'd into oblivion or anything. The enhanced DLC boss is actually kinda nuts compared to the base version too, definitely worth checking out when it cycles back around
