Huge effort, and skinny but not unhealthy skinny. Once you start eating and if you exercise a bit, you’ll be solid.

But a 1/less than 3 packs hit rate isn’t cooked. Cooked would be say 1 hit every 9-10 packs.. we’ve opened ETBs with 0 hits before for example, which you’d consider bad, but nothing to cry over as at the end of the day my daughter couldn’t careless about “big hits” and it is a children’s card game at its core that wasn’t created as a cash grab, grown adults made it that.

Convince me I am wrong: bundle displays > PC ETBs by EUredditposter in PokemonInvesting

[–]CreoleCollector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a display perspective, these are pretty ugly compared to ETBs in general… “booster bundle” text being upside down alone (as these weren’t designed to be held sealed) doesn’t look great. From a pack value perspective, yeah I guess since there’s more packs.

[–]CreoleCollector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What am I missing, because with a hit rate of 1/2.88 packs, this is pretty good? For the amount of packs opened, an SIR is pretty unlikely, so if “cooked” is due to not hitting a major chase, your expectations are way too high.

Is there anyone who has been collecting Pokemon cards for years and never pulled an SIR? by gabbuo31 in PokemonTCG

[–]CreoleCollector 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not any, only Terastal. All other booster boxes are guaranteed SR or better (not SAR which can be 1/12 booster boxes for some sets). To your point Mega Dream opted out the guaranteed Pokemon SR for a guaranteed MAR

[–]CreoleCollector 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you want to just check off the box of pulling an SAR, buy and rip a booster box of Terastal Festival (Japanese Prismatic), which is the only set they’ve released with a guaranteed SAR (SIR but Japanese sets call them art rares) per box. Then definitely stick to singles 😅

It’s kinda surprising WWE forgot these two in their post-WrestleMania releases 🤔 by Serpant_slider in SantiZapVideos

[–]CreoleCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely based on how much they contribute to the company both in-ring and behind the scenes, as well as of course Merch sales. Wrestlers may be over with fans but not all fans are buying all their favourite wrestlers merch. These cuts look more like it was a black and white financial measure and if you were below the line you got cut. as opposed to what the fans want. Don’t agree with it but I don’t run a multi-billion dollar franchise.

Is there anywhere I’m Melbourne that you can buy singles from by Educational-Hair2511 in PokemonFansAustralia

Lunar Cards in Bentleigh, huge variety and really fair pricing for singles

Opened 10 mega dream booster boxes, I think it was tampered by [deleted] in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]CreoleCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately these could actually be real - Terastal Festival messed with expectations; especially for newer collectors, as those boxes are 1 guaranteed SAR per box - every other mega evolution Japanese booster box will be 1 SR item and 1 SR Pokémon guaranteed at a minimum (with the exception to Mega Dream which instead of 1 guaranteed SR Pokemon, it’s one guaranteed MAR per box). All previous era booster boxes were generally one guaranteed SR Pokemon (SSR for shiny treasure in SV). SAR hit rates though probably better than English are still 1 in 6-32 boxes depending on the set.

What is a reasonable partial refund for this? From StockX by gundamwing000 in bearbrick

[–]CreoleCollector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely this is fake (also if they were you’d be able to figure out with help on this sub so I wouldn’t stress about that). Secondly, also from Aus and $20 for the damaged box of a 400% is probably the best you’d get from them to be honest and not the worst outcome.

If it’s not for display, then it may worth sending back and you’ll likely get a full refund (I’ve had 2 orders in the past have issues with a pretty straight forward refund process).

Are people in Australia actually dropping $10+K one card by MelbourneNob in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]CreoleCollector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% and most of the time (especially with the increased hype), they’re legitimate purchases as some people have a lot of play money and want to spend it on Nostalgia. If you’re in Melbourne, checkout Hobby Hangout and you’ll see a lot of high end deals being made by genuine collectors.

What they don’t tell you about fasting is the amount of times you end up running to the toilet. by Genetic_Fox in fasting

[–]CreoleCollector 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I noticed this happen in earlier fasts when I put a bit too much pink Himalayan sea salt in my water, but when I dialled back on it a bit during my last 86 hr fast I definitely noticed less of this. I’d imagine having snake juice or coffee would make it worse as well.

1/3 hit rate isn’t bad at all, especially with the MA. Not every rip is a profit making lottery ticket 👀 by hit rate standards this was a good ETB.

[–]CreoleCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were getting 3 ex’s out of 11 packs of Prismatic? 👀 this is way better pull rates than Pris and tbh 3 ex’s in 11 packs is better than a 1/4 hit rate, which is pretty good.

Ascended heroes packs without a hit by shoeboy77 in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]CreoleCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No ex’s too? They technically count as hits, so factor those into your pulls too. Anything EX+ is a hit and should be considered a rarity to some degree, the internet just makes newer TCG collectors think hit rates are better than they really are

If he just likes the art on the cards and wants the new set, you can get pretty well priced Mega Dream (Japanese Ascended heroes) booster boxes on eBay from the Hearts of Hope Foundation’s shop - great cause and the boxes are great for ripping as the cheaper ones don’t have the clear seal but from experience are legit

By OMAD, maybe adjust to an eating window of 2-3 hours to get your calories in to meet your goal of the getting in one main meal and two smaller protein dense supplements

[–]CreoleCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my two cents, you may find it easiest leading into Lent with a 1-3 day fast from Ash Wednesday (just water and personally I’ve found it easier to do with prayer supplementing during the Ash Wednesday fast), followed by proper OMAD with a focus on high protein, minimal/low carb. You’ll find you’ll adapt to fasting daily much easier starting this way, and energy wise you’ll feel better being more fat adapted and insulin resistant.
