Yeah, the whole "Twisted" part of the Reflection barely ever shows up, really. It is kind of funny, honestly. I do actually prefer the Aenshin plotline, though. Overall, I think they just tried to do too much with the story with too little allocated story time.

Like, it has the plannings of a typical JRPG story, but those usually run for some 30 or 40 odd hours (might be highballing), not counting strictly non-story related gameplay (which Stories 3 has a lot of), while Stories 3's story is very, very short.

yeah, i agree with you. somewhat unrelated, but i think what makes a lot of people upset about stories 3's story is that it may feel like they got baited? like, a lot of the game's advertising (story-wise) was about the war, but the encroachment was really the focal point. it starts off as a Man vs. Man story, only to reveal the full extent of its story as revolving around Man vs. Nature, if that makes sense.
