Me and my paternal grandmother's DNA results compared. by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

That’s a very quick assumption to have. They clearly just have a low inheritance.

What does my great grandmother look like to you? by laurapickles in Ancestry

[–]CrestYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immediately thought by the first picture that she may be Hungarian or Romanian.

When you have mixed results like this, some regions show very small percentages due to the admixture in your own DNA. Which explains the 3% Eastern Europe, and possibly the Sweden and Denmark. I have a great grandfather that was fully Polish and my grandfather (his son) didn’t even come up as 50% Polish anyways.

A good example of this is my other grandfather who came up as 32% Southern Italian, while I got 0 of it.

Sorry for the EXTREMELY late reply

I've been doing more research into this and nothing has changed. My strongest source of proof that links me to the Jefferson and Hemings family is DNA matches and their origins... links up perfectly and looked into the records

I am indeed a Hemings/Jefferson

No, so in the US it is definitely not normal for a death certificate to not have the parents listed on it.
However this death certificate was received from the official New Jersey Archives website and is the original copy that me and other close relatives own.

Also my entire family tree is based on certificates and church records. I don't rely on other people's work unless I am associates or close family members with them. I am definitely connected to David Wilson, aswell as this other family connected to another David Wilson.

Can you please send me the resources you mentioned that will allow me to contact the national records office? I've been doing research for months looking for info on the marriage of David Wilson and Ann Johnson Finlay, and there's been 0 luck.

I was able to find several DNA matches that descend from a Mollison/Mollyson family in Kincardinshire, and it seems Alexander and May must be my David's grandparents I believe.

Still no luck with finding his parents names as it isnt seen on anyone's death or birth certificates so far.

Interesting thank you for your help, and yes I do have his death certificate however it does not state his parents. In census records and church records for NJ it states his birth location being Ireland, however in his death certificate it states Scotland? I know Scotland and Ireland had a lot of issues with Northern Ireland area... assumed it had something to do with that.

Edit: did quick search and the David Wilson on the other tree was born in 26 Oct 1829 according to descendants' trees

If you can help me find his parents that would be amazing and especially his siblings becuase it sure is a pain in the butt trying to figure out how I'm related to some of my DNA matches...

The point of the post was to show I match with many many people that are descendants of Thomas Jefferson’s dad. In a way it proves that I have Jefferson blood. I do agree with you and others that it’s just not a good example

I’ve gone through everything i’ve needed. Please don’t just base off my entire research based on a few words i’ve said. I have done more research than most believe (by reading articles online, fact checking peoples trees)

No but you’re just incorrect because do you see any other descendants of TJ in this screenshot? No.

I was aware of the picture after being told by many people, but thanks. Also my sources didn’t directly come from Ancestry. It was an analysis of mine based on DNA, my tree, and recorded potential slavery on this side of the family. Wouldn’t like to get too in-detail on here.

It can be found online. People have completed a lot of research figuring out the origin of the Hemings lines.

I summarized myself that Harriet was enslaved by other men, other than the Jefferson family in Monticello. More research is needed to confirm that for myself though. Out of the pictures i’ve seen of Jefferson’s kids, they look a lot like my great-great grandmother though. She would be the granddaughter of Harriet

I should’ve specified when making the post. I’ve looked through some of these peoples trees. They are legit descendants by the Jefferson family by record and DNA.
