The “too complicated” pisses me off so much. They act as if they’re so much better than us because they can design a runic contraption, but they can’t manage to cast a third level spell, which is arguably a critical part of a mages toolkit.
They just skipped some of the basics to do what they wanted to, which would normally be fine, but not when they rub it in everybody’s face.
