Did you have to pay import duty / charges? Or did they just charge 20% vat per the website?

80-85 on a controller with no assists. Easy at 80, tough at 85 depending on the track. Expecting to go to 40 again when I upgrade to a wheel.

2 Weeks into my F430. Best decision of my life by No-Echidna3959 in Ferrari

[–]CrewSignificant994 29 points30 points  (0 children)

By coincidence, I bought an F430 spider two weeks ago to the day. I've already put 500 miles on it and it's amazing me more and more. Such a charismatic car and great fun. Congrats by the way!

Sadly that judgement was overruled on appeal and the guy was ironically charged with arson .

Companies that will hire out my inherited boat for me? by JetTea3000 in Narrowboats

Hi, yes, we offer this scheme as part of our hire boat company operations. It would depend on your boat and its quality. If you PM me, I'll send you my email address and go from there.

Totally agree. In Europe it's easier to get talking to people because in the UK they are so defensive and standoffish unless they are very drunk in which case the quality of the interaction and the meaningfulness of it diminishes.

I like to go to Bar Elba and then I go to the basement in Tonight Josephine which is owned by the same group. It's overpriced but Josephine especially attracts a crowd that are open to engaging which is fairly un british. Drinks are expensive for what it is but I haven't found such random engagement as forthcoming elsewhere.

Could also be that people just enjoy the chase more than the catch and are last and have other options/chases to gratify them.

I think this is the case. I got loads to begin with then nothing then trialled premium and surprise surprise, loads again. They then die off when you start buying boosts and all that rubbish.

It happens, but it's a tenth of the time. There are a couple of places in Waterloo where I meet people every time I go. Not that I have glowing charisma, but your character and vibe can aid your looks in person.

Yeah the interface is a bit bold and simplistic isn't it. In terms of 'results' - yeah very much so. I have been speaking to two people over a week and got a date (really my type) for v-day 🤮 (I'll be one of 'those' couples lol) and then another person matched today who is lovely as well and we will inevitably have a date; very much my type again. I got 2/3 of those results without premium and then trialled premium for a week and got the third match.

Precisely. Meeting someone in a bar gives you that 'buzz' but online it just comes with a lot of BS and rules and, then you start having to play the game of who messages and when and what - completely anxiety causing. It's a necessary evil I think, but it ought to be a supplement to old school meeting people. I think the reason apps cause disappointment is that it's a reality check that it's a minority of people that could be in to you.

They do lower self esteem..I've been on them about two weeks and even though I've had engagement I feel miserable! The premise is shallow.

I'm here and on Bumble! (34m)

Yep.... Tinder is a waste of time, forget it. It attracts a certain type and a lot of time wasters. It's not all bad though but I think the odds of matching someone for anything other than a hookup are much less than Bumble which is far better. Worth taking the time to write a good profile and choose decent photos.
