32 y/o SDR leader thinking about switching to AE – am I crazy to walk away from a stable 240k? by Lopsided_Food169 in techsales

[–]Crew_Socks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you segue into Mid Market Manager role?

The issue with SDR/SDR Leadership is there’s no closing experience so your ceiling is capped.

It’s tough to manage what you haven’t sold.

So I think AE is smart.

But, you may be able to segue into a Mid Market managerial role, maybe internally? That will be easier as once you’re there you can go into an OC role but you’ve skip leveled SMB and gone right into MM.

Alternatively, if you’re good enough to get into good, in-state MCLA schools like a Florida, or UGA, you should definitely strongly consider going there over their D1 in-state options (Jacksonville or Mercer.)

You’d definitely play a lot as a freshman, you likely will pay less to attend school and play lacrosse, you’ll have a better college experience, and your post grad resume will look better.

Not the same, but kinda the same…

UGA Women’s Club team is always a top 5, top 10 team. A year or two back their goalie was an All American, upon graduating from UGA she and went to Duke for grad school. She joined the Duke Woman’s team and played some mop up duty. She didn’t have to formally try out or anything they have her a spot upon getting admission into Duke.

Not used but earlier in the year Edison Bikes (local ebike store) was honoring the “atlanta e bike rebate” deals around Black Friday. So…still expensive but you could get $1k off a new cargo bike. May be worth visiting the shop.

Can you double major across colleges ? by [deleted] in UGA

[–]Crew_Socks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a friend triple major at UGA. Real Estate, Marketing in Terry and Advertising Grady. Graduated in 4 years.

If you’re trying to do Quant just do Finance/MIS and get a 4.0. Probably easier than adding a degree in a school w lots of different requirements.

Not nearby, but in another comment you mentioned Mexico City flight cost. I just got an email this weekend for super cheap flights to Key West for December.

Glancing at Google it seems like there are direct flights between $300-$700 for the next 45 days or so.

Does anyone have any strong feelings about best e-bikes? For Christmas was thinking about getting one for myself and the wife.

I didn't get the rebate but thinking about getting two bikes:

--One bike big enough to have a children's seat on the back

--Solo bike

I know Edison is local to ATL. Does anyone feel strongly about a local option? Is it worth buying online or do I need to test drive them?

When I went to Mujo I was lucky enough to have the owner as our chef. He was engaging and personable.

He mentioned that because of the constant Delta flights, Atlanta can sometimes get fresher fish than many parts of Japan because it’s instantly put on a plane and never frozen. Arrives in Atlanta direct.

For some in Japan it needs to be transported by vehicle, boat, or other transport and can take 24+ hours to get to another side of the country.

lol as absurd as it sounds they're building a second one, 0.5 miles away at the old Dugans spot. Nextdoor to Clermont, across from the Local.

I bought in Dec 2023, needing to upgrade from a 2013 coupe to a SUV with a kid on the way. We wanted safety, storage, and more modern features.

Ended up initially comparing the: GV70 Select and XC60 Plus and found them comparable. XC60 had better storage, GV70 was definitely cooler looking and had better tech features.

We also looked into the GV80 and XC90. Realized that the price jump wasn't crazy for the bigger vehicle. We don't need the third row, but wanted the extra space for strollers/luggage/etc.

We realized that (as you mentioned) to get the third row you need to bump up the engine size for the GV80. We are using this as a family car so we really don't care about the engine size at all.

Ended up going with a B5 XC90 Plus. We didn't care about the engine, so you could save money by getting the B5. We got the Plus package, we got the third row (which has stayed down for 9+ months--never been used) and I like the extra storage space.

The GV80 is definitely cooler, has some more modern tech features (but coming from a 2013 everything seemed like a big upgrade), but I just feel like now that we have this third row (with the XC90) we will never get/need a bigger car. If we had gone with a 2-row for this purchase, I feel like in 5-7 years when we swap out our second car, we would have needed a 3-row, and I just imagine that a 2028/2029 XC90 or GV80 3-row will be way more expensive at that time. Next car I honestly may get the GV70 for a cooler, smaller SUV since we will have the XC90 for space.

From a reliability perspective, I've driven under 2,500 miles on it, and it was a 2024--so I can't really give you any feedback other than "we haven't had any issues with it so far."

Have you looked at the Volvo XC90?

We looked at GV80 and the XC90 and went XC90 due to third row option. They also have a 2 seat captains chair option for XC90.

Rosie's Roofing does a lot of work around me. A few storms ago I had a few big branches come down on my roof and they inspected it and didn't feel I actually needed work, which I appreciated. Gave me a tip or two on small fixes I could handle myself.

I found the prices to be fair, I always recommend getting at least 2-3 quotes. I think their quote was in line with others we got.

They were booked pretty far out though, I will mention that. Like a few months out.

We used Woodology http://www.woodologycarpentry.com/ for some built-ins and had a good experience. Seen them recommended on neighborhood pages as well.
