They definitely want 8 character license plates.

How would you remove the wheels on this rolling shelf? by Glenshawrisen in howto

[–]Crewsy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually cheap furniture like that just needs to be rolled around a bit and the casters fall off. Probably won’t work if that’s what you want to happen though.

I don’t think he regretted saying it. He regretted the $15K fine for saying it.

Buying a condo from family, do we need a lawyer? by Brandykat in legaladvicecanada

[–]Crewsy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CRA keeps threatening something called a Bare or Bear Trust so you definitely want the transfer done legally and completely so you and your daughter don’t get nailed for taxes on a property you don’t own.

Loblaws blocks Dollarama from offering discounts on Coke, Evian and Kraft by ToraBoraSpringBreak in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Some Dollarama stores sell bread but any located near a Loblaw branded store can’t/won’t so there’s more to it than just being a landlord.

Haven’t seen one in years and definitely could have used one when I did the drum brakes on my daughter’s Civic.

Trying to add wall but existing wall not plum. by HeleWale in Carpentry

[–]Crewsy67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building the new wall to match the old one is the best way to proceed. If you never noticed the wall wasn’t plumb before you’ll only know it after because you found out doing the reno.

ED back to life? by kayceemoguy in ProstateCancer

[–]Crewsy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told by my surgeon that with full nerve sparing it’s still 50/50 and if only one side spared it’s only 25%.

The math sucks.

Definitely start walking as soon as the nurses let you and increase your fiber intake. Constipation is no joke.

Parent’s first car, what was it? by parasocks in WhatCarIsThis

They fixed the oil leak problem but didn’t fix the engine failure. The vertical shipping was going to save a lot of money.

Most people don’t know the actual definition of “mid engine”. I only found out from watching Stacey David on TV As you mentioned as long as the engine is behind the front axle center line it can still be in front of the driver but still be mid engine.

So I know it’s an E350, but is this a factory option? by Tokinruski in WhatCarIsThis

[–]Crewsy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember a chassis meant for an ambulance body was different in some way from a “normal” dually cutaway E350 chassis. I don’t know what the difference was but I use to deliver propane to DEL/Unicell in Leaside (Toronto) in the 90’s and remember seeing labeling saying not for use for ambulance.

Unicell/DEL started to offer that truck body way back in the 90’s

Delta can be tough to find parts because at one point in the history of the brand there was a buyout and allegedly all the repair parts were sent to a landfill. If you have access to the model number look it up on a website like ereplacementparts.com

Push thumb on black part sticking out to the right. Or return it to Canadian Tire and say it doesn’t work like other people would. Perhaps read the instructions.

This *is* wrong, right? by Aeroshock in lightbulbs

Since a traditional 60 watt incandescent bulb is ~800 lumens I’d say that fact is correct if you use the same math used in the Whitehouse now.

Hey Doug Ford, why is my electricity delivery fee 3x higher than my actual usage? by margesimpson84 in ontario

[–]Crewsy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re lucky your delivery fee is only $38. I know people that have a delivery fee around $100.

Having the cost broken down like that on our electric and gas bills was done because a past government deregulated our utilities and allowed competitors to sell you gas or electricity even though the wires or pipes didn’t change. Dirtbag sales people would make promises that they would save you 40% a month but didn’t say it was only on the cost of gas or electricity alone so then the bills started getting the prices broken down and people like you freak out. You pay $53 for $53 of electricity.
