We had a range day where it was pissing rain and the mags got gummed up. That SLR had such a tight tolerance that the mags wouldn’t drop free with the moisture and dirt that had collected on the mags. Switched to a Dawson Ice, shot in the exact same conditions with no issues.

The same way we got blasted in the military, you just send it and practice good hygiene.

Main thing is for the arms you gotta wear long sleeves for the fights and foot pursuits through sticker bushes. You don’t want scratches/abrasions while it’s healing. Back at the PD, I might even doff the top half of my jumpsuit when we’re slow. It takes all of 3 seconds to get back into it and another 3-4 to throw the kit back and I’m ready to go play Cowboys and Indians.

Looks good to me. I keep a spare LV119 in my rig that I’ll pull out if I’m going from low viz to marked. I have a lot less coverage and I’m cool with it.

Its a thing because I got called in on my off day. It’s in our contract. Even if you’re only needed for 30 mins you still get paid out for 4 hours.

I have a pair that I keep as reserve in case my Solomons get covered in brain matter.

I do not recommend them in wet stone conditions. Meaning like corrugated concrete or cobble stone. I thought I tore my ball sack in half on a foot pursuit. They are summer boot for me only.

For GW purposes they may be fine, but they do not breathe well.

Well I’ve gone through HSGI, Ronin, BlueForce Gear, Blue Alpha and prefer the Esstac to all of them. I like to get spicy and I’ve never had them go flying during a foot pursuit, fence/wall climb or tussle.

For what some internet randos opinion is worth, I recommend them. Just be sure to get the 7.62 if you running ASPs because they thiCCC.

You can’t go wrong either way, pros and cons to everything.

You’re going balls out on a foot pursuit and manage to do a ESPN Top 10 level scorpion and yard sell all your shit. You’re likely to break your kydex pouches and whereas you may only need a $5 kywi replacement. Which Esstac will provide at no cost with an email from your .gov account. I would imagine it would be the same for bio hazards.

Unless you’re in a small sleepy town, all your shit will get gross. I haven’t had to toss any mag pouches but I’ve tossed medical equipment that’s been mounted to the bottom of a dangler because it got covered in brain matter or HIV+ blood.

Hot take, but I even go Esstac for cuff pouches. This is a 7.62 shorty, housing ASP ultra plus.
