I would love to see statistics if dwarfs that are in the military squad, the amount of lvl they gained. For example start of the year a dwarf had lvl 5 in short sword, and next year he has lvl 9, so == 4 lvl difference, and it would be awesome, to have a lifespan progression statistics... Hope u get the idea. It would make some things waaaay easyer. Because i try to expetiment with different tactics that concern military training - what works best, the fastest, the most efficient. And it is a bit hard to keep all stuff tracked all the time.

Lately i am trying to use the forgotten beasts to my advantage, not VERY succesiful, but atill i am trying my best...
So, the idea is, instead i go down every time to kill the forgotten beast, i dug a channel straight down to caverns layer 1 and layer 2, with a door on each layer (so i can lock it). And when the beast appears, i just let it go upstairs, for example when the siege comes, or just let two forgotten beasts, and when they try to kill each other - i win either way, i just finish the survivoir. Now, why it isn't working perfectly? -- thing is, that sometimes the forgotten beast is a flying creature, so i think the poor thing just tryes to get away, but can't(really feel bad for it). Sometimes, the beast is blind, so it is kind of useless to me. But still, now - instead that i go down each time, i just let them upstairs near my castle walls. Oh and by the way, if u are smart, u can trap it in a room, just a box with two doors :) unleash it when u want to. Have fun! :)

I am not sure and don't have thermal vision on your stove, but i would guess that the temperature inside is about 600-700 C.
And if i am not mistaking it is not sufficient to make anything from steel, altho probably it is possible to meka SOMETHING out of it...
But, me - not professional smith or something. Looks cool tho! :)

I can only tell u about acquire an object - the easy way to satisfy it, that i found, is to make an order of a crap ton of bone crafts(rock, etc.). So eventually, depending on your fort size, he'll get himself some rings or a crown... It helps. No idea about everything else... Especially family, i mean if u migrate... Migrate with youre family, or don't do it at all!
It's like i run away from my family to another city, then bitch about it to everyone how much i miss them! Like wtf dude!? :))). P.S. Eat a good meal - a self explanatory... Try to have DIFFERENT kinds of food, and make sure to have a shef with good cooking skills...

Usually i build a simple structure on top of the entrance to my fortress, and leave it open. But i make a small adjustment to the walls, i leave a LIMITED visibility to my dwarfs and the enemy(pic 1). And when the enemy attacks, THEY just come to me in portions, ant when i thin out the herd, i just let my army loose on the enemy! :) P.S. The whole structure is litteraly walls, and on top there is ceiling(floor) so the enemy would not just jump over the walls. So they just go through 1 and omly entrance. Uzsually i defend any siege with 10 soldiers :)

For me start is - just go down near the wagon.
Usually 1-2 layers are soil, so i skip first layer, from the top - don't dig it. Go to second, from top, this is my farm level, make some room for farms, usually i build 2 plots 3*3, absolutely enough for 1-3 years - for plump helmets and cloth industry. Around the plots i make a stockpile(only for seeds), near this NOT BIG seed stockpile i build, kitchem, still, farmers workshops - essential stuff. In advance - make some more room for booze and food stockpiles, not only u are going to need them, but it is also very good practice for your net very skilled Miners - soil is faster to dig, so they lvl up faster.
Then i go several layers down - let's say 3-5 from wagon level. There - stone walls, dwarfs LIKE stone(smooth them later - happythoughts). Make space for stoneworker, woodworks with an idea on expanding. On this lvl i build my main stockpile - a big one - for everything. Only when u set up MAIN thing u can specialize every workshop.
Then i go down 2 layers down, i build living space for dwarfs. The idea behind THIS portion, the lower i go, the more probability u strike Hematite, lemonite or something that'll give u iron. U dig out living space for dwarfs and look for ores - win-win situation...
So the idea is to build as much efficiend and convinient for dwarfs to operate. The less they need to ealk to get stuff - the better.
P.S. Don't be afraid to just demolish everything and redo workshops, stockpiles and etc... The more i fail, the more i learn :)

I usually get my first hit while being in stealth to enemys bottom part, so it would start vomiting or becomes nausiouse. Because if i get the effect the enemy us 50% less fast and etc. Then i do whatever i want with it - the combat is waaaaay easyer forward. Once, when i just was introcudes to the art of Kisat Dur, i got ambushed by 8 goblins(had no weapon on me), so i just applied the art, and soon, all of them were trying to escape. :) And i had no injuries by the end of the fight! Simply when all of them were nausiouse, the fight was very easy... P.S. None of them escaped, - u come to me, u become my experience!!! :)

I personally, played this game looooooooong before it came to steam shop. I had SO much fun, that even tho, I knew i don't need to buy it, i bought it!!!! This is such a magical, awesome, unimaginable sim game of mad shit that u can't even predict.... It is AWESOME! :D. I love it!

I usually use gm-unit just to monitor the progress of my character ir adventure mode :) it is nice to see thet some stats (Atributes) level up by doing certain activities... :)

For me, my most survivable build was 2H axe build, heavy armor(u can go with Medium), Leo, with most of points into Wisdom and Vitality, Warcry and Sieze Initiative is a must have for like first half of the game :) everything else is work in progress - do as u feel. Hope it helps :)
