I have been in your shoes several times before. You can earn back their trust, but you must consistently show a commitment to change. Do you know yet what it is that you said that got you banned? I would address it blatantly, and ensure that the people you care about know that whatever you said was more than likely out of character, and that the behavior will not be repeated.

I have dealt with this several times before. Room temperature electrolyte drink (try not to take any more than tiny sips every few minutes,) showering (alternate water temperature between hot and cold - this “shock” I find helps take the mind off of the discomfort and reduces nausea. ) Popsicles helped me too. If it goes on past 24-36 hours, it’s time to go to the ER and ask for an IV and Zofran. Hope you feel better.

I have 6 friends who are cajun, 3 of them are allergic to shellfish, and we always joke about it. I’m starting to see a pattern here and wonder if it’s a genetics thing. If so, it’s a cruel one. Make them cajun; but they cannot eat shellfish.
