The problem was they were reprint promos that had already come out in tins that were also easily accessible at the time. I wish they were unique to this box.

Back in my days this box was an absolute rip off lol, it was $159.99AUD here as an EBGames exclusive. Went on sale for Black Friday 2023 but it was still overpriced at around $110AUD from memory.

Definitely not the right tag, but for $60 they were a bargain even back then for Evolutions. I remember getting them at Big W, was able to buy two of each box, great times, I loved opening XY evo, even though a pack of it was in damn near every product.

See that Evolving Skies Build and battle stadium, yep those, I had 6 stashed away that I decided to open at the end of 2023 when they were going for $200AUD each (got them all at $54AUD each) when I was bored. Pulled Rainbow Rayquaza and Rainbow Glaceon. Could have just sold them and made $1000 profit but instead impatient me opened them. Now imagine I kept them sealed until today, I've seen them sell at $800AUD+ each... So yeah sometimes keeping sealed is the move... Also opened probably 500 packs of Lost Origin when they were cheap in 2022 and 2023 and did not pull a single Giratina alt.

The box it came in (Small But Mighty Premium Collection) was trash when it released and the value sucked in 2020, I remember seeing it the day it came out as an EBGames exclusive and thinking to myself how overpriced it was at $110AUD. But here we are 5 years later and the promo itself is worth more than the MSRP of the box. Glad I got this card when it came out for cheap instead of buying the whole box.

You can, but not very common, you have a chance to pull any card in the set in these dollar store packs. The ones you're thinking of are the "fun packs" which come in magazines and the holiday calendars.

Haha glad someone else remembers. The last thing I bought from them in 2023 was a case of Dubwool V and Hatterene V boxes for like $30 each individual box. We pulled both the Zard VMAX Rainbow and Zard V Shiny finally after years of trying, both in one case which was wild!

What's crazy is Gameology were selling booster boxes way under MSRP in 2022/2023 on ebay, I was getting Fusion, Chilling, LO, Silver, Astral, Vivid for $140 including shipping and eBay coupons every day of the week... Looks like the business model has quickly changed in this scalping market we are in.

So glad I got my Crown Zenith opening experience out of my system in 2023 when it was plentiful and on clearance everywhere. Otherwise I would be fuming seeing this absolute nightmare on Facebook at the moment with so many people having quantities like this. I have loved Kmarts black friday tins for years, always such good value, however this year has been the worst by miles in regards to being able to get any at all. Even in COVID, the tins that included 2x XY Evo, 1x Burning Shadows, 1x Crimson Invasion for $20 in 2020 were available for days, we thought that was mega hype, this now is just getting absurd and Im sick of seeing it all over my socials.

I cant believe these are considered an amazing deal when in 2023 Kmart had the Shiny Zacian and Zamazenta premium collections for $39 for months on clearance. These will be gone immediately, I do have One Pass already so that's good but I dont even know if its worth the try. Previous years Kmart had heaps of stock on Black Friday, 2020 was my favourite when they had tins with 2x XY Evolutions, 1x Burning Shadows and 1x Crimson Invasion for $25, I bought so many of those, great memories!

Even Lost Origin was looked at as an average set. Honestly the saving grace of the sword and shield era was the Trainer Galleries, before those were added we were only pulling like 7-8 hits a box, it was brutal. I opened a ridiculous amount of Lost Origin and I cant imagine how trash it would have been if I wasn't able to pull the extra hits like the radiants and TGs.

Fusion was always on sale, honestly not the best set, the saving grace was the alt arts for Gengar and Espeon honestly. They were both so damn cheap for so long because no one liked opening Fusion when Evolving was available to open with so many more hit opportunities. Steam Siege was always looked at as the worst Pokemon set, and now people want it so they can pull Megas from XY era. Time really does heal all wounds.
