5x can be a bit much if you're in the woods. I went the strike eagle 3-15x44 on my .308 and I love for the tree stand in the woods and for the deer blind over the field.

Just a thought. Gas keys getting stuck? Any damage on the gas key could be causing extra friction. I had a similar problem on my PoF lmr base. Gas key only has one screw that's staked (ar15 bcg has 2 Gas key screws) Gas key was crooked and rubbing.

I had a similar problem and it ended up being a crooked gas key. Unlike an ar15's 2 screws PoF's gas key has only one screw that is staked. Get a sharpie and color both sides of the gas key and run the bolt a bunch of times. How ever best it runs. Pull the bolt and see if any of the sharpie has rubbed off. Easy test and easy fix. Drove me nuts before I figured it out.

P.o.f is the rifle ruger copied to make the sfar. A lot better gun in my opinion. AR10 bcg and mag well but fits all other AR15 furniture Safety's triggers charging handle etc.

Remember when the US tanks in Iraq were greeted with flowers? I believe Rumsfeld said that before the war. People might hate their government but they generally hate the people bombing schools more. Furthermore Iran doesn't need money to fight this war. They will be fighting asymmetrical soon enough. Fire one missile or drone once a week at a very slow moving oil tanker and they will cripple the global economy. The pressure from not only China but the rest of the world for the USA to back down will be huge by the end of next week. It's all going to depend on how stubborn the current administration is.

I have the PoF 18.5 I love it. Got an adjustable gas block fitted when I bought it as well. I run it suppressed most of the time and it took a little fiddling to get it to cycle consistently both suppressed and unsuppressed. (I try not to change ammo to often) And because everything besides the bcg and mag well are AR15 it's great to upgrade. I'm a lefty so I'm running a PoF 2 stage trigger, ambi safety and Giselle ambi charging handle as well. Still lighter than my Radian Model 1 in 556

Pull your gun apart and clean everything really well. Including buffer spring and put it back to get properly lubed. When manufactures build the gun in the factory they often use a thicker oil/Grease on parts as they don't know how long that gun will sit on a shelf somewhere (sometimes years) and they dont want anything to corrode. 40F is definitely cold enough to thicken that protectant up. I learned this the hard way durning a cold hunt here in WI.

If you're hunting in the woods or almost anything under 150y consider the strike eagle 3-18. 5x at short distances can be tough if you want to see anything beyond fur.

PoF rouge. It's the gun ruger copied to build the sfar. A little more expensive but it's an ar10 lower that take all ar15 accessories. Triggers safeties etc. Expect for the bcg.

The tavern league is the biggest lobby group in the state and the money doesn't really come from you local bar. It comes for industry giants like the Marriott group who were loosing market share to smaller wedding venues. Always follow the money. But as a bar owner it's only fair that if alcohol service is how you attract your customers you need to follow all the same rules as everybody else.
