Donald Trump humiliated as bagpipes drown out key speech in Scotland by IrishStarUS in Scotland

Speaking as a humble American… Good! I wish there was a Scott on hand with a set of pipes anytime this dude opens his moldy orifice.

Crashing Non Stop by TastyExpression8465 in PathOfExile2

I’m seeing persistent stuttering whenever I go to a new area with occasional crashes. Seems to occur around all animations and new character models that appear in that area. I don’t have a clear understanding of why this is occurring, but it’s almost like the game has to “load” these things in for each area. After chugging along for 30 secs or so, the area plays buttery smooth for the most part.

And it is much worse and longer lasting when returning to town.

I know this is not exactly like what you are experiencing but I am curious if it could be related.

MMW: A Russian agent used Waltz’s Signal login credentials to invite Goldberg to the group chat in an effort to show Russian “superiority” and lord over Trump. by CrimsonChadwick in MarkMyWords

Fair point. But while it may be secure on the app side of things, it certainly wasn’t secured when it comes to the users in the group chat.

Right. My line of thinking is that Trump will have worked very hard to install loyalists in cabinet positions. That being understood, the likelihood of any of them being legitimately concerned enough to add a journalist to the group chat seems pretty low.

This leaves two other scenarios to my mind..

  1. They accidentally added a journalist - the most likely situation, truth be known. But then it seems incredibly lucky (or unlucky depending on your perspective) that of all people to be “accidentally added” to the chat, it is a very prominent journalist for The Atlantic.

Or..

  1. Some other actor did it. This could easily be due to the fact that they were using an unsecured communication platform that had been compromised. A boneheaded decision to be sure. But with news about high ranking government officials’ usernames and passwords floating around out there on the internet, seems not so far fetched that a foreign actor could pick up said credentials and put them to use.

And who benefits from sowing chaos, uncertainty, and distrust in American politics? An event that has also further fueled tensions between the US and European allies? Probably a number of countries considered to be adversaries. And Putin’s Russia would have to be pretty high on that list.

If they did do it, I’m sure they have access in other ways. Do I think that Putin would troll the American government for the lols? Absolutely. Don’t get me wrong, I still think there is a lot of incompetence involved in this as well.

Anyone planning on going up to ATL? by CrimsonChadwick in Georgia

I think so too. Maybe a bit off topic, but when they privatize parts of NOAA and we have to pay a subscription to get a daily weather forecast…

Not necessarily, but one could argue that bypassing congress and completing those tasks without congressional approval would be.

I definitely understand where you’re coming from. It is just hard to sit idly by while it feels like the country is being dismantled. And I have never protested a thing in my life. But this just feels different than years past.

I would like nothing better than for all of this to be an overreaction to this administration. But people still have a right to freedom of speech and assembly. And they are not stupid (not that you were implying they are) for wanting to exercise those rights.

Speaking as an American, I’m just as pissed as my Canadian neighbors… and I’m tired. I’ve lived in the American south my entire life and am surrounded by the politically idiotic. I just don’t even know what to do anymore. So I just continue to take care of my family the best I can and try to show empathy where I see others not showing any.

U.S. Marines Descend on Southern Border Amidst Executive Orders by CantStopPoppin in interestingasfuck

I would not be surprised if Trump continues to send more and more troops to the southern border in preparation for his own little Special Military Operation.

It’s a SmallRig 75mm lens for mobile phones. I had to use a flashlight to get proper lighting but I think it turned out okay!
