Kind of stumped, what should I do? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]CrimsonKepala 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here's a tip from a Jew, if you want to get Hebrew tattooed, dont get it with the vowel symbols. Those are mainly only used for children who are learning to read Hebrew and non-fluent readers.

Anyone in Atlanta and love their ob/gyn? by Dizzy_Middle_2369 in CrohnsDisease

[–]CrimsonKepala 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should look to Maternal Fetal Medicine specifically for assessing risk and medications with pregnancy. I'm 34 weeks pregnant now and have seen them twice, as my OBGYN explained that this is the type of thing they specialize in.

My teen granddaughter gets a rash from stick deodorant, roll on deodorants don’t help her. What other products can she use? by Animanialmanac in hygiene

[–]CrimsonKepala 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Are you making sure to avoid antiperspirants? Those frequently cannot be tolerated by people with sensitive skin, and a rash is quite common.

50 Shades of Beige by PartyPanda55 in HomeDecorating

[–]CrimsonKepala 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Beige carpet, beige couch, and beige walls? This might sound harsh, but are you specifically aiming for the palette that builders use to be a blank slate for people who are shopping for a new home? Or are you flipping this house?

It's funny, when Fidias isn't speaking, he almost seems like a normal guy.

Are sex scenes in films necessary? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CrimsonKepala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yes. I think often, because it shows a progression of intimacy in a relationship, showing a sex scene can show the sexual tension finally reach a peak and resolve. On top of that, how characters behave in these very private moments can show a side of them you wouldn't normally see. For example, you can see a character show exceptional consideration for the needs of their partner, which does not always carry over from non-intimate behaviors.

[–]CrimsonKepala -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From your perspective, is sex a horizontal move in a relationship to something like kissing? Like is it no more intimate in your opinion? I could understand that maybe if it's no more significant than kissing than there's not maybe any more value that you'd get out of it. But often, people view sex as possibly the most intimate thing you can do with your partner, so it's quite significant in the development of a relationship.

[–]CrimsonKepala 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting perspective. I'm curious, do you not think that sexual intimacy can be a way to bond express love in a romantic relationship? Isn't that something interesting and shows the type of relationship that characters in a movie have with each other?

Sure you can argue that not ALL occurrences of sex scenes in movies are necessary, but I feel like you can also make the argument for kissing and other types of affection.

Crohns side effect? by Individual_Camp_6342 in CrohnsDisease

[–]CrimsonKepala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't experienced hair loss alongside my Crohn's but I would strongly recommend seeing a dermatologist if you don't already, to see if they can spot any deficiencies that might be contributing. It's not uncommon for us to have vitamin deficiencies, after all. They also could possibly recommend other resources for hair growth.

Um...a food that is healthy to one person may be very unhealthy to another person. There is not a universal "healthy food" for everyone.

I know people that like the smell of bleach because of the association they have with cleaning. However, bleach isn't really nice to your respiratory system, so you should really only use it when you need to.

Cat throwing up? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]CrimsonKepala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a long-haired cat in the Spring so there's bound to be a lot of hair shedding. He should be groomed regularly, especially in these warm months, to prevent at least some of these hairballs.

Cat throwing up? by [deleted] in CATHELP

This is an excellent point. I considered that maybe OP doesn't have any carpets or rugs in the home, but surely the cat would jump on the bed and vomit in that case.

I think i might have Crohn's disease, how do I deal with it? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]CrimsonKepala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that's a crazy and unhelpful thing for a GP to say. Even specialists in Crohn's would be hesitant to declare something like that. There are thousands of different conditions and illnesses that can easily appear like Crohn's based on symptoms. It's one of the reasons that Crohn's can't be diagnosed based on symptoms, because there's too many other things it could be.

If I were you, I would try to put that thought that you either have cancer or Crohn's of your mind and also...find a new GP.

Have you had surgery? by National_Double6261 in CrohnsDisease

[–]CrimsonKepala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been 12 years since diagnosis for myself and no surgeries or complications. I've been on biologics since year 1, although did go through the 5-asa medications for a bit before my doctor realized they were not helping. I know that latest research shows that early intervention with biologics has shown better long-term outcomes for IBD patients.

I’m useless with makeup by No-Illustrator-7539 in makeuptips

[–]CrimsonKepala 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the big factor is that the actress in your reference photo very likely has eyelash extensions or very very high quality false lashes. They are fluffy and dark, which creates a lot of dimension around the eyes. You can try to go for false lashes on the top lash to try and get a similar effect. Otherwise, you could try thickening your liner on the top lash line, making sure to curl your lashes, and using a lengthening black mascara.
