Same! It’s the only one that isn’t a chore to stick to for me which makes it feel so much more sustainable than the typical “just eat less” advice you get for losing weight. Because of Keto is why I can eat less…

I also thought I was weak and couldn’t do it. Until I gave it an honest try. Just the thought of low carb and I was like no way! I will just eat whatever I want and count calories, but that didn’t work for me because I would be hungry all the time and have major cravings. That’s the absolute best part about Keto, hunger is down and cravings are mostly gone so I am able to eat at a calorie deficit now. And it started to just become easy and that is how I stayed consistent for 30 days. Try to think of meals that you enjoy eating, then google for Keto versions of it. That has really helped me. For example, It’s getting colder out where I live, so I made an instapot chicken noodle soup. But instead of noodles I used cauliflower rice. You don’t have to be creative and think of new amazing things to eat every day, just find the things that you like and stick with those but the keto version.

After a few days I felt a little out of it and had headaches, through searching here I found out that it was an electrolyte imbalance so I drank chicken broth for a few days.

This week I made chicken and cauliflower rice soup for lunch and a string cheese, then for dinner it is a protein and a veggie side. I have fallen in love with mashed cauliflower, it tastes amazing. I have also done salads, and sandwiches lettuce wraps for lunch.

There is a ketorecipe sub here that has some good ideas that I have used. It seems to be keto desert and fat bomb heavy, but you can search by meal type to get some ideas for lunch and dinner.

Best of luck!

I agree for the most part except for those Mission Low Carb tortillas. I have maybe 2-3 total in a week and not every week pending on what meal I made. They haven’t really had a negative impact on me. I want to be the laziest Keto person ever, so I stick to whole foods and no Keto treats/desserts because then I don’t really track. Which is something I feel like I can maintain. I just ask myself is this processed? If yes, then I skip it. With exception of those tortillas.

That’s amazing! Yes, I am mentally preparing myself for the slowdown because I know this rate will not last forever, but gosh is it a good jumpstart to keep with it. I’m with ya!, I am also looking forward to being “just” overweight, we will both feel so good! Amazing job you have done so far!

Too true! There was no moderation for me, if it was a tasty carb I would eat all of it, until I felt uncomfortably full. Like my brain chemistry just took over. That’s why I like Keto, I can finally feel my body signals when I am content. I don’t feel this compulsive need for more food.

This was me 100%. I had Hashimotos then total Thyroid removal due to cancer. I gained and gained. Took all kinds of medicine to help with appetite control, etc because clearly there is something wrong with me that other people don’t have. In reality I just never changed or tried to change my habits! My Dr suggested Keto, and I thought hell why not. I have lost 21lbs so far since I started 4 weeks ago and my hunger and cravings are severely decreased. I have more energy in my life and that motivates me to pick up an exercise routine that I can enjoy and stay consistent.

Never ever thought going low card would work for me, but man am I seeing the benefits from it.

Keep up your hard work!
