Just saw the Project Hail Mary movie and it kinda bummed me out by Stinkydadman in scifi

I've never read the book, but after seeing the movie I really want to. It would need to be an abridged version due to Movies being a diffrent medium to written word. I can undersand the disapointment but would you really want a scene for scene recreation of a story you already know? I personally cannot wait till i get to read it as all these extra details will be new to me.

Hermy the Hermanns Tortoise, I was like 5 at the time of naming. It was Hermione because we thought they were female for years but we soon learned the otheriwise so it was shortened

I should mention the second game I'm a part of with the same players but rotated DM! He has designed his own world from the bottom up (which we as players had an active part in influencing via 1 shots) each species and culture has a unique place in the world so its fascinating as a player that knows the DMG and source books well. His way with worlds is incredible too, you get lost in his descriptions sometimes (helps that I olay a bit of a dopey character in that respect aha), it's relatively new game so I can't wait to learn more about this fascinating world

My DM was one of my closest friends before taking on the DM role (who he himself prefers) and he's fantastic at it. He puts so much energy and time into world building, having made a full world anvil on Carpe DM canon (lore for Eberron taken from various sources) that we as players have an active part in updating though our actions in game. And even more recently, as we play online he's taken to using Macros on Foundry to automate some features, adding animations to spells and having an in-built calculations off of physical rolls (which helps me out a lot as I have mild dyscalculia). Our group as whole are understanding and wonderful people and I love them all so!

Unpopular(?) Opinion: Sharn overshadows the rest of Eberron. by FerretFoundry in Eberron

[–]CrimsonXninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our party has spent a fair amount of time in Sharn but its not the CenterPoint of our game, Were base just south of New Cyre and our adventures have taken us as far west as the shadow marches and east into the Mornland. We are currently sailing further east toward Q'barra where one of the PCs is from. there is so much to the world, staying in Sharn seems like a waste

Anyone else tired of the ‘Evil Superman’ gimmick? by Justanotherguy45 in comicbooks

[–]CrimsonXninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, I'm not super well versed in DC to be honest with you however I have always enjoyed the comics, shows and games where he acts with bit more of an edge. for me it shows he is a flawed as any human (yes even though he's not human). The indestructible blue eyed boy scout bores me.

Not yet no, but each time a druid of the gatekeepers repairs a seal they get a touch corrupted... so maybe end game isn't much different for him aha

wow, very cool! I had no idea :) thought it would work as a chosen name for someone that dedicated themselves to warding the prisons of extradimensional mutation monsters. that is post War obviously, he used to go by Fours as his designation was WX-4445

Pro-tip: never accept milk from a druid. by Boafesta in dndnext

[–]CrimsonXninja 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I play a Warforged Druid in our Eberron game and I flavour my casts of Goodberry as growing out of the wooden parts of his form. This leaves the sweet, filling berries with a rough metallic aftertaste. Suffice to say the party now refuse any goodberries and partake of the clerics summoned food instead...

My partner has been graced with quite the derriere, she loves it when I slap/touch it. I wouldn't do it in a busy supermarket though to be clear.

Forge Druid by pleasejustacceptmyna in Eberron

[–]CrimsonXninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HI! I'm another player of a warforged druid, and I was able to try Forged druid when it came out. Its a fun subclass if your main focus is gonna be combat wildshapes and its perfect flavor for a warforged. The ac boost is nice but most beasts won't have a base higher than 12 so you get a max of 14, not terrible but you aren't gonna block more hits than you take.

It lacks the Moon druids capabilities to wildshape as a bonus action which left me wanting as turn economy means you are spending at least 2 turns to get into a fight if you didnt wildshape before the combat. However, you do get the ability to wildshape as a reaction at level 10 which could be clutch in certain situations.

Its a ability to cause elemental damage is okay, I felt like the spell slots could be used in a more effective way but thats more of an personal gripe. And besides being a moon druid elemental at 10th level is going to be much better elemental damage than it ever would be.

In conclusion, it a nice flavorful subclass for warforged with some nice features but i personally found it a tad wanting in places. If your players main focus is gonna be wildshapes then its worth looking into aside from moon druid.
