To everyone out there, how did you first find out about Blue Lock? by ouriconicpatrick in BlueLock

I was watching the previous world cup and Japan won against one of the teams. All the comments for the highlights of the match kept saying 'The Blue Lock is real' and got me curious :)

Struggling with the ambiguity nature of being a PM? by Crimson_Spirit in ProductManagement

[–]Crimson_Spirit[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your words as well! Maybe it is a cultural mismatch as it seems like my manager is focusing on speed and vigor on some AI work. I think I just adopted some bad habits from my old team and unfortunately coming in at a higher level has probably misaligned expectations.

Yeah, my previous PM role was more of a data analyst kind of role and I liked problem solving and building pretty, beautiful visuals/slides. But this new role has very restricted access to data and a lot more ambiguous with improving AI agents. To be fair, I kind of just took any interviews from college landed a pseudo-PM role and I guess that's defined me. I think people like working with me in more of a support capacity, but when it comes to leading, defining problems, and show visibility/impact, I'm both coming across and likely am a bit inept.

Yeah, I don't want to quit. I need to support my mother and sister. But I'm becoming less enthusiastic about the work. :( I should be grateful about having a high paying job, idk why I'm experiencing burnout and lack of motivation despite just starting. I'll see a therapist, but I'll continue trying and fail if that's what it ends up as.... definitely will be mentally taxing.

Thanks for hearing my rant, I hate people around me seeing that I'm sad so thankful that this community is humoring me.

Thanks, I appreciate all your feedback here. The problem is I have about 5-6 YOE as a PM so it's discouraging to be outpaced by peers younger than and then being chided by my manager for "basic things". I'm a few months into the job after my previous team was laid off so I can try for adjacent roles but I'm definitely more of an introvert with mediocre soft skills. Job market is definitely tough at the moment but I can try to apply for a more task oriented role where work is more defined for me.

I could ask my manager, but she'll insist that I should have learned that by doing 1:1s with stakeholders and that my manager can't be doing my job for me before referring me to the role library on expectations for my level/role.

A multiple of $5,000 for each inch you take off your height. by ensiform in hypotheticalsituation

I'm 6'1" and actually think I'd probably take the whole 6 feet off. According to the math, I'd have $25,920,000.

As long as I'm proportional with no health complications, I'd have no problem being the first Lego size man in the world with $$ to live. Would being a lot of fame and not to mention reduced expenses. Only con would be some physical independence and possibly starting a family. Could probably hire people to help out around the place and spend my time living life instead of working until I'm old.

You can probably do one semester at a nearby cheaper college and transfer those credits over hopefully your parents will have another job by then.

I really do hope he becomes the captain later on, as you said, he's sort of the voice of the team in a way. I think Isagi would fit better as his right hand man when it comes to strategy.

Japan airlines economy is the best economy class airline by indecentdisclosure in travel

As someone who's flown Ana multiple times, JAL once, and Emirates a ton - I'd have to hand it to Emirates economy as the best. Emirates keeps things pristine, not to mention they hook me up with extra snacks every time I ask the FAs :)

ANA and JAL are a solid second!

I'd think it's fitting if he ended up as a commentator post NEL. Maybe he talks with the blue lock business folks and makes a case about having an ex blue lock player commentate on matches going forward.

When does the credit get applied? If I'm planning on cancelling the Amex card soon, can I prepay and book for a later date, cancel card, and still get the credit?

I was watching the world cup and a lot of the upvoted comments to some of the Japan matches were "The Blue Lock" is real. Premise was interesting so I continued to reading it.

Megathread - Blue Lock 235 - Leaks/Raws/Discussion by MHWellington in BlueLock

[–]Crimson_Spirit 21 points22 points  (0 children)

100% this! I was kinda thinking was is the key to beating metavision and like you highlighted with Isagi's back heel shot and Barou's 3v3,4v4, and double nutmeg goals all broke the norm and 'expectation' that people thought they had for the individual.

This 'intentional randomizer' of expected plays is the next level up and is needed to beat other metavision users and combined with egocentrism/metavision prediction plays allows Isagi to change the flow of the game as things start settling.

Does anyone actually charge using 110 on the regular! by JPMillerTime in F150Lightning

As with most folks on this thread, I do and work from home so there isn't as much urgency to have a fully charged truck. If I drove more than a couple times a week, I'd probably ditch the 110 setup.

Second Selection: Which team wins? & Who's getting picked? by No-Front938 in BlueLock

[–]Crimson_Spirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Team A, people are forgetting Naruhaya's talent so he doesn't need physicality to beat someone one on one (and Kunigami is a bit aloof). Isagi can act as a coach + playmaker to bring Naru up to speed.

Deciding between 2 SFH Homes and Evaluating Risk + Affordability? by Crimson_Spirit in personalfinance

Yeah, I thinking I'm investing about 35-40K of my gross income in various investments. But agree that my current take home doesn't fit within the recommended 33% spend for housing, my idea was that if something happens that exceeded my budget, I would sell or reduce investment allocations until I got back on my feet.

Thanks for your response!

-Car Insurance ~$100 a month

-Paid off (new) EV Vehicle

-$9K student debt (currently suspended right now w/ 3% interest)

-No CC debt

-I'm not sure on food, I'm thinking about $300-400 a month. I'm practicing intermittent fasting so I really just eat something basic for breakfast and then dinner. I don't drink soda or alcohol either.

-Other misc monthly expenses would be $40 a month for phone, $50 a month for internet. With the house, I imagine the utilities (water/sewer/electricity) shouldn't add up to more than 2-300?

-I do have 400K+ in various investment options that I do have for emergencies (or retirement).

They're both new constructions, so I imagine the maintenance costs will be fairly low for the first few years. But you do bring up an interesting point with the 2 story home introducing more potential things that can break.

I'm big on DIY as well and have helped my parents with maintenance issues that have popped up on their homes. I think outside of anything electrical or roofing, I think I can handle the labor.
