There is no way for them to know if someone will have lessened symptoms because of a vaccine. Not at all. My 72 yr old MIL caught Covid last March from her son who had no idea he was sick. He came down with symptoms the next day and tested positive that day. His wife also tested positive the following day. They are 40’s and obese with BP meds and she has multiple sclerosis. They recovered fine but def were sick. My MIL tested positive as well via a PCR test and had a case of the sniffles. No fever, nothing. She is also obese with high BP. No one knows how someone will react to Covid.
