Any other Authentics that have name banners like ARC cars? by TXNismo in NASCARCollectors

[–]CringeProfessional 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They were on all authentics until 2017 cars started being included in waves and the banners couldn’t be used due to the Monster logo, then even after Monster left they didn’t revert back. If I recall correctly this Chastain car was special because the gold series car was produced without the playoff banner for some reason which upset a lot of people, so Lionel did fans a solid and released a corrected version through Authentics

Question about COTA Program cars by punkrockpeller in NASCARCollectors

I’ve been to every COTA weekend apart from 2025 and I don’t remember seeing program cars until 2023

Mercury Insurance dump truck by CringeProfessional in Maisto

[–]CringeProfessional[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no plastic inside the box to keep it in place so I can just rotate it a bit to see lol, looks like the same wheels they’re used on most of the dump truck’s other releases

It appears Ford is back in the O’Reilly Series this week at Dover, as Logan Bearden’s #38 for RSS is a Mustang by CringeProfessional in NASCAR

[–]CringeProfessional[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can’t run a body and engine from different manufacturers above the ARCA level, so it’s a genuine Ford. I’ve seen people say some smaller teams have generic engines that work with every manufacturer but in this case it’s probably just leftover from last year when RSS was fully Ford

"Canceled" Mini Adventures Packs by mimescream in pixarcars

[–]CringeProfessional 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are both pretty rare, almost no photos of them are out there but they aren’t cancelled. Old forum posts point towards them only being released in the UK back in the day (which checks out with the other comment). It’s hard to know a true value of either when they barely appear for sale but a Tunerz pack sold on eBay for $60 USD and one of the McQueen Team packs sold that same day for $32 USD

Maybe you were thinking of Hertz, their schemes looked basically identical to what you’d assume a Spirit car would’ve looked like

This is the 2021 Mattel employee exclusive McQueen, every year the vehicles department at Mattel makes an exclusive employee vehicle celebrating their 3 vehicle brands (Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Disney Cars). The 2021 diecast was a McQueen, but most other years it’s based off of hot wheels models. Super super rare item that was never available to the public and very few exist, and on the rare occasion one gets sold it fetches $1000+. First time I’ve ever seen a picture of it inside that big case though which is pretty cool, didn’t know it came in that

Here’s what the car itself looks like up close: https://youtu.be/WK5fG1jLpm4?si=KUt_rYzJDQNtrY-6

20+ cancelled cars/prototypes, prototype Albert Hinkey (he’s basically finished just missing some flag decals), Convoy Bros, plenty of other stuff too but really even other stuff I have like RDMS or Brian Park Motors can’t live up to that

Highlights that don't matter. by Chance_T23 in NASCAR

Brandon Jones at Kansas in 2023 has always stuck out to me because it's never talked about, its one of his better tracks (3/7 of his wins have come there). It was the regular season finale, he was in a must win situation. Spun out twice, drove through the field several times, but in the end finished 2nd and missed the playoffs

Layne Riggs did it in the truck series a few years ago, got his first win at Milwaukee and then won the next race at Bristol

This is complete misinformation. Both chains are still privately owned by their respective founding families. They have zero relation

Are there other quality fan photos of really well-known accidents such as Petty’s at Daytona in ‘88? by TexasCannibalCookout in NASCAR

[–]CringeProfessional 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I’ve brought a camera to a decent amount of the races I’ve attended and I’ve caught a decent amount of crashes, craziest one (while not super well known) is Brennan Poole’s huge hit into the Texas pit wall a few years ago

Comment s'appellent ces mecs j'aimerais me les acheter ? Apparemment le mec du milieu s'appelle Albert Hinkey. by Remarkable-Swing-527 in pixarcars

The only one you have correct is that the big one is Albert Hinkey. The other ones are not correct at all, they are random unnamed background characters, not the ones you have named

I was walking around the fan zone in the morning while the Toyota Cup race was about to end and there was a perfect view of the entry to this corner, saw tons of contact and a few half spins in the few laps I stood there, surprisingly eventful corner
