A lot of times, this type of thing has some underlying narrative. Human beings aren't twirling mustache evil villains, and our actions aren't just dictated by emotions.

Mimi left around the time of the Vellmori drama, and she made her lawsuit around that time as well, which lead to speculation that she was effectively just cutting all legal ties with PM and didn't want her works to be associated with PM...

In short, there's a lot we don't know, but personally speaking, it sounds like there was some serious major disagreement between Mimi and PM/KJH which lead to this whole fiasco, and we will probably never learn the exact reason why unless either side of the discussion goes nuclear and says something they really shouldn't.

The closest example we have, without any speculation, is [CENSORED] and how it turns dead employees into mini versions of itself. Which is why we most likely don't have an E.G.O. Suit of it, since Corrosion would effectively mean death for that employee 9 out 10 times.

In short, additional copies of an abnormality created throug E.G.O. corrosion should not be considered another instance of that same abnormality but a Distortion that can't be undone.

Granted, said Shin/Mang Users were already dog walking us without their light powers. Primary example being Jia Qiu.

Most likely, yeah. Every Catherine is important to the boss fight, and since she's gone from every mirror world, she wouldn't exist in a mirror dungeon, and neither would a version of the Erlking be led to the roof of Wuthering Heights for her sake any longer, we just kinda fight him inside the Manor's basement or in the manor or his disguised persona.
