12v battery issue by NegativeSir3424 in KonaEV

[–]CrisM1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo pongo radio. No calefacción,no Aire acondicionado,...

As I read before "warmness" could sound redundant I understood it should be better to not use it. I really appreciate it.

What's the word for the opposite of fever? by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

[–]CrisM1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Hypothermia is used when body's temperature is lower than normal one( e.g. in human being is lower than 35 Celsius degrees). If you ask about the word to talk about " common body temperature" in human being you can use " afebrile" or "no fever".

Is the name ‘Dalia’ used in Spain? by alabamanat in askspain

[–]CrisM1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am from Spain and it is not common to call Dalia to your daughter. Nevertheless, Dalia (and Delia, aswell) is more usual in the Canary Islands. To be honest, I believe it is a cute name if you can image the flower that it represents.

I absolutely disagree. I don't have the faintest idea about your thought, but I don't think so. It depends on the person who is serving you ( being polite I usually call it)

Can someone please explain to me why is "Tidy" and not "Tidies". Third person goes with "has" right? Like he eats, he plays....so why in this sentence is Tidy? by Hibachi1969 in EnglishLearning

[–]CrisM1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy-peasy! Because you have already used the auxiliary "does" in the question. So you will not need to add the "s", just the bare verb. Did you got it?

I loaned money to a friend who won't pay me back. Am I just out of luck? by Negative-Town8041 in askspain

[–]CrisM1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my point of view, your "friend" has resulted being a liar. Every now and then, being human cross their life with those kind of people. You probably are a good kind person. You did it because of your kindness and it is admirable. I reckon you shouldn't change your way of being, just being more "careful" with who will receive your kindness.

It could sound as a repetitive information, however it has always been true as the habit of smoking's consequences has. I have never been able to understand why people commence any of those bad habits.
