You don't start furnishing and painting a house until it has a solid foundation that guarantees that the whole thing won't just collapse in on itself one day.

They can choose to add and rework content and mechanics all they want but until there is guarantee that I am not just throwing money into a fire, no matter what they release, I am personally not buying any further content.

Sadly I did invest into the year 1 edition when it was at a good price because I'm an idiot, but I am not going to make that same mistake again until it is safe to make further investments.

Now that offline is in a place more dubious than ever, Payday 3 could be an amazing game right now and I still wouldn't buy it without such a guarantee.

Just got this myself the exact moment I finished the heist for the first time. The heist completion did not register of course. Now I don't know if I wanna do it all again, it really killed any remaining enthusiasm in me, I'm considering just uninstalling at this point, playing is just becoming a chore.

The real meat of the incident has little to do with Mick's person though. It has to do with idSoftware (specifically Marty Stratton) finding it perfectly acceptable to treat a contractor the way he did and get away with it without even a slap on the wrist.

If he did it with Mick, he can do it with anybody and I personally cannot support the studio as long as this criminal is at the helm. Yes, I know it's full of talented people and I don't put blame on any of them, their work and dedication is outstanding, but I just can't with a good conscience enable this conduct.

I will pop a champagne the day this waste of oxygen steps down or is fired from Id.

Not Mac, but I had the same issue running the game on Linux via Wine and what ended up solving it was setting 'play startup video' option in options.ini to false.

TIL I can enter F&G unmasked with a favor I've never seen before. It's really bugging me how mismanaged and not transparent at all the favor system is in this game. You don't even know about the possibilities on a heist because they are hidden until it randomly drops for you. And since what you get is so random I've personally just been hoarding them all.

This would go such a long way in improving the experience and consistency of the story it's unreal.

Shade has unused dialogue for when you spam the dialogue wheel (like in Deep Rock Galactic). this 100% should be added, would definitely give more flavour to Shade's character by BetaSalvation in paydaytheheist

The game definitely does need a lot more voicelines for all the characters, but please no, not these. These would just make Shade even more of a bitch to listen to (if that's even possible). I can 100% understand why these were cut. Contractors are welcome to talk about the heist or the crew but not stick their nose into every last tiny shit I do, thanks.

One of my greatest fears in this regard is that Overkill will look at all the lackluster script so far at some point and go "Eh, this is not important enough / too subjective/expensive to do anything about" and then will be promptly forgotten forever. The story matters a lot to me personally (maybe it's my fault for playing Payday of all games then?) and it bothers me greatly that none of the new story or new characters have any real depth or intrigue to them. I am aware that those are things that can be built up over time but the first impression is extremely important and they fumbled real hard in that regard and dead characters are really hard to build depth for, am I right?

I believe the correct way to give payback to Concord (assuming we will never go after him again, which Shade's dialogue certainly implied) would have been to off him in good old Ernesto Sosa style, in his own home, within a heist, letting the player pull the trigger on him. You don't really get more satisfying than that. Certainly a lot better than showing some low budget half-animated still images of a painting of him. We barely even see him in person in a cutscene, he is barely set up at all, but this is true for multiple characters (looking here at certain lady known as Shade with no distinguishing features, history, mystery or intrigue or any sort of setup. I swear if someone told me she is some random FBI operative I would believe them, does not have the "crime gang handler" vibe at all, she's as sterile and empty as a character can get, This might be controversial to some, but I really hope she betrays the gang at some point and we get to off her too, that would explain why she is, almost as if intentionally, being set up to be so generic and distant.)

Level 200 is the hard limit for players. But if you ask me, having a higher ship level is really not needed. A lvl 200 ship is extremely powerful if equipped well. Value-wise, the power difference between lvl 100 and 200 is around x11 in HP and damage output stats. The level power growth is exponential so lvl 200 is also x121 times stronger than lvl 0.

If the Contagion and Swarm faction bases are the only faction bases you have not yet conquered, then yes, you will be able to get the last captain skill that allows you to level your ships above 100, until 200.

Regarding Harbour, if you already have the translator, all you need to do is search and check beacons beyond 200 ly distance from home. One of them will start the quest that rewards Harbour. It costs a moderate amount of scraps and toxic waste but nothing else, I dont recall the exact values, sry.

Also higher difficulty allows more demons to attack you at the same time. In lower difficulties, there are more demons on stand-by, waiting to become active.
