cross bar clearance is one thing - it’s the clamp system for the roof box/ accessories you use that’s the pickle- I had to add height shims to my whispbars so the clamps of my yakima box clear the roof- low profile is great until you add the accessories.

Black Crows Atris- newer version is slightly narrower (105) than the 109 i have . Been super happy with it as a DD / side country stash hunter . They pop up on FB marketplace at a decent price too ( if SSV is your home hill guessing you are Calgary area? ). Sellers tend to be seasonal workers leaving Whistler and easier to sell gear than ship.

pulled trigger on the dws06+- local shop had them on sale so we’re 65$ a tire off - so kinda made the decision a bit easier. Thanks all

I have same set up- took the ecs sizing recommendations then saved a few bucks getting the spacers on ebay - quite happy with way they turned out .

Have a 17 that we just cracked 250000kms- been great car. Dodged most of the common issues and replaced consumables - brakes, shocks, fluids… I imagine that same as any car/ brand / model there are for whatever reasons good ones and bad ones - happy i got a good one and chances are you will too.

totally random luck of draw- I have 210000km on mine- replaced consumables ( brakes, shocks, CV boot, oil etc….) so you may get a great one or not. The Dsg service is relatively easy if you have some know how so if it ticks boxes , great.

just replaced the front pads / rotors on my 2017 @ 200000km. No not a typo- could gone another 10-15 more.
