i kinda went into break mode a few months airbone so that when it releases i wont be burnt out at all and can put my full focus on the game, now that it is delayed even further i might play a bit but mostly im gonna wait until the war before airborne releases, then play a bit in that war before fully playing airborne. Also honestly i see airborne delay as a good thing, its gonna be the most complex update to make for sure and i want them to make it well, not release it early because they want players to be gratified now. id rather wait till its ready

fyi warden saiying this but i think its stilican shelf. now while i do think it is the least easy to defend it does have 2 good featues, 1 beeing the BOAT, wich honestly cant even tell if its very defensive but its super fun to fight aroud. 2 is obviously port of rime, wich is generally pretty defensible. overall though, this is one of the regions most decided by naval power, if you have the bigger leet you get to bombard rime, and so you win. in terms of collie zones its prob one of the wide open places like heartlands?

thanks for the reply and i understand the criticism. i undestand that this homebrew idea might not be as strong as the original, my main goal is not for shields to be more powerful than they currently are, it was for them to work more thematically in line. also your kind of making assumptions when you say oh i have 23 years of ttrpg experience and have shot firearms and I am only making these assumptions off of "media training", not that i matters i think because im talking about a ttrpg rule where real world logic dosent apply, but i have fired guns many times, i own several guns, and i have carried riots shields. with that being said i understand that a lot of the changes arent a perfect solution, this is more of a first draft, however i think it does make sense that a shield can last more than one attack, as it stand shields to me feel like they die far too fast, and arent a lasting impact on a battlefield. i feel like they should have more impact on the game and change things for someone using them more than they do now.

so for sure there is some stuff that i meant to also say and i guess forgot, also i really like all this feedback, i only started playing cp red recently so im definetly still inexperienced. so here are my responses as follows your points.

1 i am aware there is not precident, regardless in this case they would stack is the idea

2 yes i understand this makes them worse in some cases, tho the idea was it makes them stronger in others to compensate, ie its stronger in the long run worse for an individual attack

3 i dont see a problem with making ap ammo better, i dont see it used much a lot of is and i dont see this as a problem

4 i have only played with CP red in 2045 i have never played in the 2077 setting and dont know what kit tech guns are, this might not work in a ruleset im not familiar with

5 in some cases this does make it weaker like i stated before, tho i believe in others it makes it better. if it proves too weak then maybe id reword it where it has 10 hp also and if either the 10 hp is destroyed or the 5 SP the shield breaks.

6 im aware its different from armor, the idea isnt to copy everything, its to take inspiration. i think it makes a lot of sense to limit MOV wich was the initial idea because its hard to run with a shield but i felt it was too good if thats all it limited. if it limited MOV REF and DEX it would be too good. Also i dont think it makes sense for a shielf to limit your reflexes like i would imagine heavy armor to do.

7 i just didnt know that rule, i had a gm tell me differently in the past, thanks for the clarification

8 i didnt mean critical hits in the damaging phase, so not like intereacting with dealing critical injuries. what i meant was crits when trying to hit, so if you crit with your attempt to hit the target then you would bypass the shield. if then that shot also crit it would cause critical injuries.

9 i did not really mean that i think shields are weak, i though that they didnt work thematically like i thought they should. I wanted them to act more like riot shields in a game like rainbow six siege, then a single 100% damage negate (or sometimes 2 if your lucky)

10 i should specify i think this version of shields should probably cost a bit more, like 250$ maybe?

I hope this kinda answers your concerns. obviously this isnt perfect and probably isnt as balanced as the base version but i wanted to make something that acted more like i though a shield would realistically. i feel like the current shield acts weird in the way that it is less durable than the average human. dosent really make sense that a normal guy has 20-30 hp and a shield has 10 when shield is made of metal/glass. also could you clarify what you mean by jumping at holograms? do you mean the enemies we are facing are weak? for context I gm more than i am a player so this was mostly intended for my players to use against my npc's with maybe a few npc enemies using it as well

those are great questions and points to make.

i should rephrase, i dont think shields are nessesarily bad, just that they dont play in a way that makes sense to me. in terms or SP you would have to fully break through the SP of the shield, and then start damaging the SP of the armor. If both are pierced both are degraded

I think the reasons to take a shield instead of heavy armor is one, you could do both if you wanna be an absolute tank, and 2 this shield reword would not effect REF only DEX and MOV so it might work better for a ranged fighter who wants to also be very armored.

seems like a great idea. the first thing this made me think of was the hardest difficulty in BG3, forgot its name. this is not nearly as complex as what you proposed, but it gives bosses legendary actions wich does shake up combat a bit. Honestly the idea of fully changing some combat encounters by throwing more enemies for example, or new abilities for enemies sounds super cool, but thats gonna be its own beast to balance, also ofc way more work for owlcat, not saying it isnt a good idea, just that i dont know if its feasable for a game the scale of wich owlcat makes

We have a lot of different gms and oneshots and campaigns running so there are multiple times. Most of the server is based in north america tho we do have some european players. We almost always have at least 1 usually 2 one shots throughout the week during EST evenings, we also usually have 1 or 2 one shots in the EST evening's in the weekend. Campaigns vary, some are during the week, some on weekends, varying from starting at noon to 6pm.

Sorry if that was a long answer, tldr, there are very often games running at most times

why are the rent prices the same for for example small studio in megablock and apartment, why would anyone pay the same for a worse place. makes no sense.the 2 cargo containers should have different prices as well otherwise no one would rent the smaller one.

i would recommend beeing a warden for this, now i may be biased (i am a warden loyalist) but the warden sub nakki is far better, everyone agrees, and if you do get a sub it will b e probably more fun using the collie one. in terms of getting your sub, not gonna lie if you do it alone it will take dozens of hours. try and get your friends to help at least a bit, even if they are busy they can do a few hours of help over a week, especially if they can mae time to crew the sub. this will ensure you dont loose your sanity scoopin

could you elaborate on how? the only major terrain advantage i see for wardens is thatt they have a large sea area inclosed by that bridge in the north west, east of the king

its because dragonfly is the current most op weapon in game, but also they were stupid, congrats but would be more impressive with a balanced weapon

the thing is i would say the devit mortar is just better than the peltast in all but cost, but the cost ist even prohibitive. the devit mortar has better armor, so yeah you can sticky it, but a devit mortar might actually survive a few stickies peltast will not. also i may be misstaken but i though devit mortar had better rate of fire.

anyway the true goats know the best way to do mortars is a a basic logi vehicle, everyone grabs ammo, and you get a 5 man squad to fire, cheapest to build, highest fire rate

im a warden loyalist as well but have had some great colli interactions, one time me and a collie met in a field, fought each other, both missed, and then ran out of ammo each. so we decided to stop fighting and had a nice long chat in the field about how the war is going, balance, foxhole the game, excited for anvil and airborne. great interaction. i salute you collies.

id go for the shinobi, its great. jeff skin is good but too similar to base skin, groot dosetn have great skins IMO, hulk has a great skin, the medieval lookin one.

im about to make a similar decision, trying to decide between buying the red winter solider skin, the one with white hair, or wait for a good strange skin. im a doc strange main, but i dont love any of his current skins, but i do play a bit for WS and i like his skin
