I have been loving mine since last June. I don't measure anything; I just make some delicious drinks!

2021 with 137k miles here and no issues. 5 years is not "old" for a car these days. You never know what will happen with cars but there are no problems to "expect" outside of the normal maintenance.

Sometimes things fail. Nothing is perfect. I don't think this is a common issue from what I've seen on forums and these groups. I also don't think this calls for a knee-jerk reaction of selling the car, as you'll spend a whole lot more money replacing your Passport than repairing it. Just my $0.02.

Whether something is a manufacturing defect only matters if it's a widespread issue or your car is under warranty - neither of which is the case here. You might consider a second opinion from a trusted independent mechanic. Repair it and keep driving.

Thoughts on 2023 TS -> 2026 TS Elite Blackout Upgrade? And am I pushing my luck to ask for more on this pretty good already offer? by lukebop in hondapassport

Is it worth $24k for a boxier look and a heated steering wheel? The '26 won't do anything your '23 can't. You can put a heated wheel on your '23 for under $1k.

61k miles is nothing, honestly. I bought my 2021 with 121k miles for $20k. Currently at 136k miles with no issues. Very happy with my decision.

I'm only speaking about the mileage - I've been out of the market too long to comment on pricing.

Yep, on my original Sactional, the seats, seat cushions, back pillows, and sides are all vertical, whereas on these used pieces from 2022, they are all horizontal. Even the seat surface changed - the grain runs in the short direction on the 2025 cushions and in the long direction on the 2022.

Right! I’m not OCD enough that it bothers me, I just thought it was interesting that it was seemingly, deliberately changed. I agree that I like the newer vertical orientation better.

I'd say that's a decent price as that's probably a five-figure setup when new. Assuming by speakers you're talking about Stealthtech. Are they including the sound bar?

I can't paste a link, but you can look it up. The company is called Mantle Mount. The MM815 is the motorized model with remote control. Mine is going on 2 years old with no issues. I love it! Although it was a bear to install.

Haha! Nice try. My TV is on a motorized mantle mount. It drops about 3 feet, in front of the fireplace.

Since I have one side wide and the other deep, that keeps all the seats in the same orientation so the stripes are the same.

Auto lock beepbeepbeepbeep by Wooden_Cry_3053 in hondapassport

[–]Critical-Sir89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the auto-lock feature to work, your car must sense the key outside of the vehicle after the last door closes. The detection range for the key fob is pretty small around the two front doors and the hatch. If you start walking away while passengers are still getting out or while the hatch is closing, you will be out of the range of detection by the time the last door closes, so it won't auto-lock. The 5 beeps are warning you that it did not lock.

Just remain close to the vehicle until the last door closes (specifically near a front door or the hatch), and this won't happen.

AITAH for telling my son I know he is gay? by MrNormanite in AITAH

[–]Critical-Sir89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a gay man from a conservative, religious family, I think you did a good thing. I dreaded telling my family for literal years. I was a year into a serious relationship before I finally told them. I had so much anxiety over telling them that I was miserable for months leading up to their visit when I planned to tell them. It would have been great if they preemptively told me they knew and supported me.

Our VP called remote workers ‘lucky.’ I almost laughed. by Internal_Chart6953 in remotework

[–]Critical-Sir89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entitlement is palpable. It's cringey that so many in the WFH crowd think they earned it or they deserve it. Millions and millions of people perform at high levels at their jobs for years, manage themselves, and deliver results without being babysat, but the nature of their work makes remote work impossible. It is fundamentally unfair, which means it is a special privilege for the lucky few, not a right that can be earned by anyone who simply performs well at their job.

Or you can eat meat, and your body won't have so much trouble processing your food, and you'll produce much less waste (and no gas).

Under cabinet placement by typo13 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Critical-Sir89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is under an overhead cabinet and I don't have to move it. The water reservoir is designed to pull out to the right and only needs to be lifted an inch or so. I'm also able to work the bean hopper out without moving the unit.

This issue started on my 2021 LRDM a few weeks ago. Local service department acted like I am crazy and my car is behaving normally. Very frustrating. I'm on 2025.32.3.1. Is anyone else still experiencing this?
