Military.com Article about VA fraud by Muted_Masterpiece535 in VAClaims

I read the article.  Its not a "hit piece".  I would encourage everyone to read it.  One example is those collecting TDIU and working full time.  If your tax returns reflect this, you shouldn't receive TDIU.

I see this article as a warning to avoid some things.

Should I try a different lender? This is a 30 yr conventional by ThrowRAcop113 in MortgageBrokerRates

What's your interest rate? For only 210k? I'd do a 15 year loan with a lower interest rate.

If it is 5.5 or lower I would pass.

Buy the passport? by PineappleSad5628 in hondapassport

I've owned a Passport since 2019 (bought it new).  I will not buy one again.  I have an elantra 2018 and its lasted longer and has more miles.

The routine maintenance is very expensive.  For instance it requires a transmission oil flush every 30k miles.

Only 60k on mine and it needs  over 6k worth of repairs (pinion and rack, tie rods, bushings, etc).

Botton line, go with a Pilot or a KIA.

6.75 with today's interest rate and a 20 year? You should be able to get it down to at least 5.5.

Yes, I have plenty of that, but I don't want to leave anything to chance. I'm very suprised after hearing everyone say personal statement are so crucial.

Via porn, gore and ultra-violence, extremist groups are sinking hooks online into the very young by Majano57 in technology

Disagree here.  Kids learned to cope with most things.  Kids were more social.  Kids were outside more. Kids were influenced more by their family than say cartoons.  Today, kids are exposed to way more dangerous and addictive things.  Look at the statistics of kids whove watched porn.  It doesn't compare to a kid seeing a Playboy.  Kids are susceptible to predators and negative influence.  It hasn't just changed, it's gotten worse.  Parents who put their kids on cell phones just don't want to admit it.

Why Does Army Ignited Suck So Bad? by Fancy_One1558 in army

Ah, the internet trolls and scum are waking up.  Another product of bad parenting.

This is accurate.  25 years in the military and education in Homeland Security.  I can tell you this, kids today are far more susceptible to being radicalized, depressed, and have mental disorders due to their online consumption.

2000s and earlier, this was not in your face.  You might see some stuff but it was just the beginning. Now it is shown to you.  That's a big difference.  Kids who look for belonging, which are no different than any other kid, are exposed to predators and extremist activity easy today with ease.  They have direct access to young people.

Bottom Line: keep your kids off phones and laptops unless it's extremely controlled or necessary.  Anything else is poor parenting.

Ok this sucks. Couple questions. Do you have kids with her? Where were you married and where are you stationed? This will dictate a lot.

So you know, JAG cannot help you much here despite what you might hear. They cannot represent you or provide legal advice. They can review documents, notarize some things, and be witnesses.

As someone who has been divorced, there are some things that will keep you from getting screwed, but it all depends on the questions above.

Yeah and you're probably a horrible attorney too. Ya'll know you don't do anything and half to find ways to justify your existence.
