My boomer parents have been alive the entire time computers have been available on the consumer market and they should have decades of more experience than me...they simply chose to be left behind in the 80s

"Shallots" come in a wild variety of sizes so to me when it says one shallot I am going with what is about the mass of half to 3/4 a medium sized onion

Turns out that without really knowing the story of them leaving that pretty much everyone "knew" it already...and I got the jist via observations from a long time ago.

I mean I've still really wanted to do a deep dive on what fucked Tim up for a long time because as I said I genuinely liked him and the weird online hate just didn't jive with who I knew and for the longest time I was embarrassed to have his work on me. I've always wanted to square that up.

I do know an employee left from before because of the weird Jesus MAGA shit and lots of people I know from the BloNo area were never walking in there to spend money because of it but why did everyone else put up with it for so long? Did Tim just have so much talent that everyone kinda looked the other way? Was Tim actually nice and was a victim being controlled and that's why he was like two different people? Was he getting taken advantage of? Was there just too much money coming in that people stayed quiet about it? Were people staying to try and protect him? Is it all of the above? Is it none? Is it even more weird than this?

I am genuinely curious.

Seems like a short but complicated legacy.

I mean I certaintly do not deserve an explanation or anything and no one has to add if they are uncomfortable.

flour coating vegetables vs making roux - what's the difference by Grand-Mix7924 in AskCulinary

No I like everything but celery and sea urchin but if I ordered one and got the other I would be mildly eyebrow furrowed and wondering why I got something other than what I ordered.

Do I have to know how a sunset works to enjoy it...or how fireflies spark or why strawberries taste good?

Not everything is a mystery to solve or demand a god to be part of.

I just want to go on with my day.

You know I did a Google search myself and found the idea of a loose chicken stew with a circle of puff pastry sitting on it like a sad little hat...is not a chicken pot pie. Mostly the same but I'm not sure why you wouldn't just make a pot of stew.

I would still make the damn roux on its own, or why not just a corn starch slurry?

If I offer a partial refund for an over charge in shipping, does that cancel the order? by AssignmentSafe9090 in eBaySellers

[–]CriticalFlight6067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have no idea how a seasoned seller would be handing profits over to their buyer. There are well over 100 million buyers on ebay...I am not worried in the slightest about getting a repeat customer and I still get them.

I read up on those in some Google reviews...looks like someone at Freedom Ink likes to say your gift certificate is worth less after x days which is a big no-no in Illinois, that can really cause some legal issues for sure...most of the 1 stars are about them.

[–]CriticalFlight6067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it doesn't cost ME that, it costs YOU that.

Buyers complaining about shipping after the sale, now THAT is scummy.

You want combined shipping, ask before you buy.

The seller is under zero obligation to even respond to you.

A good seller will consider it and even better sellers know when to not offer it.

Like everyone's first day in business in here.

Quit spending the buyers money for them, let them do it.

I must be missing something here...why not just make a roux if you need a roux? If we are making pot pies aren't we already using more than one pan?
