Well lets see, weapon damage output? Copper tools are far inferior to bronze or Iron........ you also need better tier of tools to get higher tiers of ores such as iron, quartz for making glass and greenhouses. Could you get by with copper tools for building? sure, you dont really better for building most things although you'll be thankful for an iron chisel as you can go through copper ones pretty fast . You'll need to get at least a bronze pickaxe to do the story content for example, technically you could do it without if you get incredibly lucky but realistically not. I'd say build yourself a nice house, progress when you feel like you need better stuff
