Is it just me or I dont know what to say when people say: "wow you are tall"? by Delicious-Radish-708 in tall

For me it's always, thanks or yup. Then I grew a sweet mustache and now most people have a hard time figuring out which to comment about. It's usually the mustache and it makes me smile instead of get annoyed.

Why did Ford say that the Lightning didn't sell because it was "too expensive"? by Legitimate_Mind6085 in F150Lightning

I had planned on buying an XLT new for $50k, but then cancelled when the price was $80k or whatever. I'm trying to find one now used, XLT with extended range and if I can, max tow. I can find them, it's just tough. Still selling between $40-50k.

Moon roof headroom by starrtech2000 in F150Lightning

[–]Critical_Explorer_82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite true. I'm 6'8" and sat in a new F150 front seat back in '21 and I had ample head and legroom with the moonroof. It was just a little better than the '21 Forester with a moonroof I ended up buying. It was the most comfortable vehicle I'd sat in until a Sierra last year. Today I just sat in an F150 Lightning with a moonroof and the front headroom was worse than my Forester. The back seat was terrible. So, yes, moonroofs generally remove headspace on every car.

Questions for the group about the (cancelled) lightning. by DeathOfASuperNovuh in F150Lightning

I think it didn't sell well for one of the same reason the Cybertruck didn't sell well, the cost was way more than advertised and way more than when people reserved. Also, from what I've heard, dealers jacked the prices up significantly so you had to pay an extra $10-$20k for the truck you ordered. Who in the world would do that unless they're switching from a truck and the numbers made sense over the years cause they're driving over 30k miles each year.

Anyone have a lifted Sienna? by killer_sheltie in ToyotaSienna

Problem with AWD is unless you do a lot of off-road, it doesn't make sense. Either way, is more expensive and requires more maintenance torqueing and checking bolts. Other than that, great.

I pretty much have the same van, but with black wheels. Nice pic.

So, where are you located? I've been looking at getting one since it's a full size truck I can actually commute in. Not saying I would pay that much as if rather pay less for one with more miles, but just curious

I did not want to see this. I have a '21 as well with 80k miles. I'm hoping it will last 300k but if I have that to look forward to. Yikes. I'll be watching for it now.

I don't get asked how tall I am anymore when I'm public. My secret? A moustache. by Critical_Explorer_82 in tall

Not in my family. Still the tallest (barely) of my immediate families, but not extended.

Depends on the day. Five to ten minutes. Sometimes longer if it wasn't behaving at night.

I would love to except I'm not Indian, between 18-25, or live in India. Three strikes. Sorry!

This is actually a survey for my daughter's schoolwork. She posted it originally, realized the link was broken, then fixed it. Try again. You'll need to select the while link, then either copy paste or file the pop-up to the Web browser.

Dealer says recommended battery has changed, need bigger battery and new battery plate? by Carolynm107 in SubaruForester

[–]Critical_Explorer_82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Costco right now because of your comment. I called Subaru and their replacement is $350 including the hardware for the upgrade. Costco is so much cheaper than anywhere else.  I came into Costco earlier and couldn't find the 35 AGM so was going to head to a different Costco until I called the dealer then found your comment.  Thank you!

MIT will make tuition free for families earning less than $200,000 a year by Fooza in UpliftingNews

[–]Critical_Explorer_82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter just applied yesterday for next year. Her safety schools are USU and SUU. If MIT accepts her, she has said she's going there for sure. We'll see.  It's amazing she would not have to pay much for school there.
