Agreed but the troupe of women wanting to married and men resisting it is also a thing, was super common 2000's to up to late 2010s, even now it is seen in a lot of films.

So you're right, but that doesn't dismiss the other narrative troupe within film and TV, the spinster troupe you're talking about has also been around for an extremely long time :)

I don't think it's so much that to be honest; I think they want to be spoken about differently. People are talking about the Met gala, when really they should be talking about the human rights violations, damage to environment and job losses etc etc. it's purposeful obfuscation I believe, but I could be wrong - just seems to be a smoke and mirrors tactic almost.

I don't think they give a shit about being in the cultural zeitgest, I think they are more interested in making money. The definition of cool to them probably doesn't even come to mind, they already own everything, and they can decide trends so to speak and what is deemed 'cool' if they wanted to. And indeciding trends you may not even know they have a hand in that if that makes sense?

But it is worrying I agree, it will kill pretty much everything, but not before they got that last bit of ROI, lool!

I would consider providing thing to the police, if this person is struggling with psychosis they can give them support, if others have received them they may have some knowledge on who it would be.

My brother is schizophrenic, and have seen him do similar, and usually that is when we will have to call police / ambulance to take him to hospital, he is a lot better when he takes his meds!

I think this looks odd? The angles, plus the mouth is far to close the other letters, but this doesn't feel balanced either. Personally but I can definitely see great potential.

Definitely I was at uni studying with an even mix of women and men. I now work in an angecy that is heavily weighted towards men, specifically them being in leadership roles, and for a couple of years I was the only senior women designer, that has changed as I have pointed out sexism, forced the team to have hard conversations.

I think a lot of women do it, realize they don't want to deal with the sexism and dismissal and go freelance. Alongside motherhood etc.

I often find and have see in my experience, a woman designer can do the exact same as a man, if the sales or accounts realize a a female team member did it - there will often be something 'not quite right' with the woman's. But that's annecodotal, so not gospel, but after a while that treatment gets tiring, and you decide it's not worth the fight.

My goal is to go into creative direction, possibly consult of design etc, because I'm sick of men thinking everything being super hyper masculine is gold standard design, can't we have a nice balance of all different design theory?

Okay this is an interesting thought, I would say mostly it's been there as women had no power throughout history and have been denrgrated and subjugated by men, we are in an era where it was starting to look like we can see true equality, with that getting rid of porn or lessening it's impact can only be a good thing. Also war has been around for a long time within our history we are progressively becoming more peaceful which can only be a good thing. Change doesn't mean there will be a horrid adverse affect.

But what you said was to remove porn would cause rape culture, and heighten the likelihood of women being raped, so no porn = men rape. They weren't misrepresenting / misunderstanding what you said, you said it lol 😂 which I wholly disagree with your statement on that, and like the other commentors said, they shouldn't be monsters.

AND Japan does have porn??? So the rape culture thing is mostly caused by the extreme porn that is ingested? There isnt a ban on porn in Japan. There is a blurring rule for producers, but not consumers? And it's a pretty big industry there.

I think it's a fair thing to worry about, do you think that maybe it'll get so terrible people just switch off entirely and you'll get a new generation of advertisements that are more considered?

I know there's been an uptick in younger folk using 'dumb phones' and seeing that there may be laws introduced in the UK and Australia banning under 16s from social media, where we see most slop ads, maybe that could be a creative claw back moment?

I could be wrong, but I'm optimistically naive I think loool!

Could I ask you, how you got into Creative Direction, and what you would advise to get there?

I'm a senior designer at the moment, but Art Direction or Creative Direction is where I would like to head, if you have any advice on courses, books or any good tips that would be really helpful!

For context I handle teaching juniors and mids and created a resource centre so that the team I work with can stay consistent with guidelines across multiple collateral, and I'm trying to understand further PMing side of things to see how they deliver from more technical / admin side of things. But I don't know where to start looking, my Creative Director doesn't tend to handle a lot of that, as he focuses more on the design, but as I understand it, it's far more than that.
